I had a chance to see it yesterday but it was a "lazy day" for me so I didnt go. How good was it?

I found it pretty good, but unless you enjoyed the book or like that sort of movie you will find it barely average.

Star Trek again. It still rules. A SciFi movie hasn't made me feel this happy in years.

Saw Star Trek lately - and really liked it! Finally something good coming out of the Star Trek Universe again...

Oh, and popped in John Carpenter's 1982-remake of "The Thing" once again yesterday... man, that was a good flick! Made me want to watch all those early-80s SciFi-movies all over again...

    Scariest. Movie. Ever.

The Thing is probably the best of the 80's horror remakes, but you should check out The Blob next. It's directed by the guy who did Shawshank Redemption, Green Mile, and The Mist.

The Thing is one of the most overrated movies of all time IMO.
Carpenter's The Fog is a lot better.

Watching Iranian film called The Wind Will Carry Us. Think I prefer Close-Up and Taste of Cherry.

Now watching Transformers: The Movie (1986 cartoon version). this might be the best movie ever made.

I love that movie and grew up with it. However I am "shocked" you didn't think that was the best part of it.
