Watched a Korean horror flick called R-Point. It was pretty damn good. The best horror movie gives you a growing sense of dread and even paranoia, rather than JUMP! moments, and this movie succeeded in that.

5 long years!
under the mountain
and now going to watch
to catch a killer
^You've been on a Jim Caviezel rush, haven't you? Lol. Me too. I've watched the entire first season of Person of Interest in less than 3 days (which I thought started as very self-glorifying, but then turned out more than great).
I recommend you watch Outlander (w/ Caviezel) if you haven't already.![]()
Don't Look Up, a remake of japanese horror film Joyurei/Ghost Actress. I haven't seen the original, but the remake was pretty damn good. And one hell of an ending.
Ginger Snaps (werewolf flick), and Willard (2003 remake).

P.S. Mr.Smith, your guts is STILL mine! As a orange werewolf, I should rip out your guts the most painful way that you'll ever imagine! I guarantee this will happen one day! I should eat it like a king.
Iron Sky - Unexpectedly awesome.
Men in Black 3 - I'm just glad they edited-out that absurd "talking graffiti wall" scene (it would've made for another absurd Men in Black 2).
Battleship - Why all the hate? This movie was the perfect popcorn flick. I'd want nothing else for my popcorn flicks. And I do love me my popcorn flicks.
Safe House - A good one-time watch.
I enjoyed it thoroughly. I've seen way worse (including Transformers 2 and 3, which I also enjoyed). I'll tell you what I didn't enjoy, though:
Crapfest money down the drain:
1. The Mummy 3: The Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
2. Van Helsing
3. Ghost Rider
4. Ghost Rider 2
What Battleship had was "lack of writing". Which I wouldn't compare to "bad writing" as evident in those above.
I just watched:
Underworld: Awakening. A 3/5. Nothing special.
The Raid: Redemption. Also a 3/5. But I enjoyed it more than Awakening.
I REALLY wanted to like it. I'm a Tim Burton fan, but when something is shit I'll say it.
When he first started, he had studios make him move things around and change things. Once he got popular enough, he got full reign to make what he wanted.
He's really the kind of director that needs to be pulled back and controlled. Carte Blanche Burton is what we've seen for awhile. Barring Sweeney Todd, it's been one disappointing movie after another. I would love to see him go back to the days of Big Fish, if not Ed Wood.
New business: Was given a free ticket to Snow White and the Huntsman, so I went and saw it even though I never was going too. And honestly, it really could have been a solid film. What drags it down is some PG-13 editing and a lot of big music video type moments that go nowhere but looked nice.
Also, it blatantly stole from not only Lord of the Rings at times, but even Princess Mononoke of all films! Just...why?
Also, the seven dwarves are real actors with camera tricks to make them appear smaller. That's the only practical effect, as everything else is CGI. Down to the random birds and rabbits that populate the forests. Seemed kinda odd after working so hard on the dwarves.
Also, Nick Frost is a dwarf. Along with Ray Winstone and Ian McShane. Fuck yeah. Also, there's one elder dwarf that gets revealed that I fucking loved! I was the only one to react.
Movie get's a point for that alone.
Ray Winston and Ian McShane as dwarves? I'm sold!
<~~If the writing is half proper, I'll enjoy the fuck out of this movie.
I didn't have any real problems with the writing. Nothing cringe worthy dialogue wise.
Overall...it was just kinda boring. There's this theme with Charlize Theron and ravens. After awhile I just start talking about what I thought about the Raven and how John Cusack should have been in this movie too. My friend agreed and we talked for like five minutes before going "Oh fuck, we're talking over the film!"
So...yeah. Most interesting thing was two younger girls walking out of our theater going "See! Even in Twilight she acts just the same. She wont shut her damn mouth!"
I was shocked to say the least.
