The cart itself looks like a Genesis Game Genie, and they do show them putting it into an Atari 7800 to play it.

Its also entertaining that the stereotype of the geeky fat adult with glasses is the only guy who you need to bring your games to. I don't even think that the store was a game store, but I could be wrong.
    You sure it wasn't a 5200 mang?

I love how people keep going on about how the new Total Recall movie is not based on the old one, and how its going back to the book, what a load of balls, just saw a mention of a 3-boobed woman, Kuato, and there already seems to be a fight with his wife based on the trailer, none of which happened in the book.

Not that it would be possible to base a movie on the book in the first place, it was essentially a 10 page ironic joke (The original movie took elements from a whole bunch of Philip K Dick short stories and then fashioned them into an original action movie).

I've heard its going to be a PG-13 too.

    I really hate remakes

Yeah. Until last season, that was.

But seriously, though; Javier Bardem is supposed to be the bad guy in this one.

I haven't seen a movie in forever, I think the last one I watched was Revenge of the Fallen.

That is probably right. Its a grainy VHS and it wasn't on the screen very long. I just remember the silver stripe on it. For some reason I looked up 7800 and it looked the same. Oh well.

Season 2 was SOOOOO badass...except for The Commodore. I felt so bad for him as the season went on.

And as much as I'm looking forward too Javier in Skyfall, that image of him walking away from the fire with his wild hair in the silhouette just makes me think of the Joker a little too much.

Maybe this will ease your mind on the issue:

    Praise Raul.

I watched Akira again about a week ago. It was the Pioneer remake, but the whole time I kept expecting to hear the voices from the streamline one. Why the fuck couldn't they just have kept the original dubbing?

Idiocracy: It was exactly what I expected it to be, and for that I enjoyed it.

Mr. Nobody: I can't begin to describe how much I despise the "Existentialism" sub-genre, especially in SciFi. You can tell they had a big budget ($45 million). I wonder why this wasn't released in theaters (it only made just over 2 million worldwide. What a flop!). Anyways, this was way too long for a drama of this magnitude. I think I need to rinse my brain now with Nacho Libre, or perhaps Land of the Lost.

    [EDIT]

    Doomsday Book
: It's SciFi anthology a la oldschool books. I enjoyed 2 out of the 3 stories (Happy Birthday and Heavenly Creature). It was interesting how they presented the titles at the end of each story (kind of how you would read the title of a South Korean book from the "backside").

I'm not sure if I already mentioned it, but:
    Poongsan: It was ok.

Still watching some more South Korean films (mainly SciFi). I already watched The Host (2006) a long time ago. Here's to hoping I'll find another hidden gem like that.

    [EDIT-2]

Atlas Shrugged: It felt, both, very 1950s and completely devoid of substance. I tried watching Coriolanus to the same effect (I just couldn't finish it). It's not the book's fault, though, it's just that these thematics have been overly cannibalized by Hollywood over and over to the point where the original conceptual works are no longer relevant. Or maybe it's just me and I've watched way too many films. Who knows?

I just watched The Island. Jesus, I think if MB could get away with making a movie with nothing but chases, explosions, and panoramic shots (and advertisements) he would. It was just like Transformers without the ugly robots, or mom and dad. There was a story somewhere in that thing, but it was mostly just a hodgepodge of half a dozen other films like Logan's Run, THX1138, The Matrix, etc.

CJ7: There's always this inescapable comedic element to all these Asian films I don't get; but this one, like The Host (South Korean), balances it well enough not to loose the audience. There's something about the cinematography of Asian films that I really like. Everything looks so clean, even the garbage (literally).

Expendables 2 is rated R. Everyone online was saying it was PG 13.

Looked at Tremors II today (a bit late, yeah I know).
Had totally missed that there was sequels, but I gotta' say it was a interesting watch.

Isenhart: I smell post-nazi apologetics all over this project.

    [EDIT]

    The Wrestler: Great film.
