    Megadrive Infogrames Games

What do you think about the comics ports on Megadrive made by Infogrames (Spirou, Smurfs, Tintin, Asterix, etc).
According to me, their ports are faithfull to the original comics and to the art of the authors in general terms.
So for comics fans, their games will be OK. As for the gamers I think they are weird and too average in quality,
their gameplay are not enough enjoyable. Their level design is often boring. Disney games have better replay value.

We can find a special version of Spirou called "Robbedoes" for the PAL Sega Megadrive.
It is supposed to be a rare Dutch/Belgian version. Is it really an official release ?

Yes its official, but since we (the dutch) call Spirou "Robbedoes" we got a localized version for some reason.
Guess Spirou is more famous here then I knew, because I don't think they translated TinTin or the Smurfs here.

It's really not that strange though, I mean look at you French, you got quite a bunch of games localized in French yourself.
(like the lion king and stuff like that)

So is there anything different in this "Special" edition that you know of?

Most Infogrames games on the Mega Drive have multiple languages, though I don't know if Dutch is one of them. Probably not.

It's not a "special" edition, its just Spirou in Dutch with a different title screen.

A friend of mine has Robbedoes, too. Mine is called Spirou and has the poster as well. Anyway, I've always liked
the first Smurfs game. I like the first few levels of Robbedoes/Spirou, but it's just way too hard to be considered
fun for me. As for Tintin, I like it a lot, but also very hard. Smurfs 2 doesn't exist as far as I'm concerned, god-
    awful...

It's a shame they could never make a fun Smurfs game, Since the premise is totally exploitable for a simple platformer ala Mario 2.

Smurf's Nightmare on the GBC is allegedly pretty good. I played it briefly a while back and it seemed to have kind of a Castle of Illusion vibe.

I liked the first MD game and both of the SMS games. The second MD game totally put me off when I tried it, but maybe I'll give it another shot.

Oh, OK. I take it, that's your copy?

I had a hack of it called "Pokemon Go!Go!Go!" about ten years back as part of a 26 in 1 pirate cart. It was just a palette hack of Smurf's Nightmare, but I found the game to be quite enjoyable.
