    When it comes down to the SNES I can absolutely say I love F-Zero and Axelay.
    What I hate about it are the cardboard boxes.

    Boxes ended up mashed and in the bin, which yeah, sucked.

    Axelay = the bee's knees.

    Also, it's not hard to take care of SNES boxes, unless you don't have shelf space. Unfortunately, we can't control how other people take care of their games before trading them in lol.

    I keep my SNES boxes in a large plastic storage bin.
    A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."

    The cardboard boxes are the reason why I will never collect NES, GB/GBC/GBA and SNES. I like my games complete and I don't want the carts just sitting there. I like my packaging without the high price tag of cardboard games CIBs.

    If I get into SNES or NES collecting I'll probably use Universal Game Cases if anything. Boxes just don't last. Some of my Gameboy boxes have survived well, but my N64 boxes are a disaster. And not due to my not caring for them, they just wear out from putting the game in and removing it a lot. Not to mention being a kid growing up accidents do happen. I'm probably going to replace my N64 boxes with UGCs at some point, and I intend to replace my cardbaord Genesis boxes with official Clamshells as well. Those wear out from simply sitting on a shelf. My PSIV box has the insert almost worn out just due to the weight of the cartridge.

    This.

    I've got a shelf full of games which I play most often, though.

    Oh okay so nintendo bashed sega but not on tv commercials. Oh well, I still totally missed that. I also experienced both the nes and the master system around the same time and the nes was the clear winner which is probably why my next move was the snes and not the genesis.

    I vaguely recall a commercial where there was a classroom and they were making the kid wearing a Sonic shirt look dumb or something. I'm not totally sure it was a Nintendo commercial as I can't find it on the internet.

    I lol'd.

    I stopped looking for boxed titles for now; a little too expensive on most of the titles I'm looking for atm.

    The worst thing about Nintendo's cardboard boxes is when Sega started winning over those kiddos they would just automatically scrap Genesis clam shells and manuals out of habit!

    Why anyone would throw ANY part of the packaging away, cardboard or not, is beyond me. What the hell was wrong with kids?!
