IIRC, level 99 repeats.
You just can't handle my jawusumness responces.
So I will take if I may:
Jurassic park
X-men 2
FIFA Soccer ‘97*
If you want me to take another sports game I will![]()
Check out my gaming blog
If Virtua Racing hasn't been claimed, I'd like to add that along with my earlier claim for Thunder Force II MD.
I'll take Evander Holyfield boxing, I used to play it constantly in my younger years, and you can finish an entire career in just a few days.I would consider becoming "The Greatest" with a perfect undefeated record at retirement as beating the game.
I'll take Out of this World.
For the sports game, I'll take Joe Montana Football.

What is considered "beaten" as far as a golf game goes? I'd also be willing to knock off some golf titles, such as those in the PGA series, if the requirements aren't too tedious. Winning a single tournament is, of course, doable, but playing ~500 holes in order to win all seven tournaments in the game is not something I would have the patience or time for.
All yours! If you feel like taking another sports game, please do.
Bones Justice just claimed it, alas. Can I interest you in a different racing game? There are still a ton that need beating...
NHLPA Hockey '93 is yours, but I'm confused: I thought you were in for Boogerman and WBIMW? If you want to switch one of those out for a MK game, that's OK, but I'd rather not have you claim both MK3 and UMK3 at once in case someone else wants a crack at Motaro and friends. Claiming one of them would be fine, though.
Yours, and welcome aboard! I don't think we'll require a perfect record -- just becoming "The Greatest" does it in my book -- but if you're undefeated, so much the better.
Yours! Adding them presently.
That's an excellent question, and I don't know what the right answer should be. Clearly, it depends somewhat on the game. Are those games password- or battery-based? If they're password-based, or if they don't use saving at all, one option would be for you to beat some tournaments (swapping passwords if appropriate), and for someone else on the boards to beat the rest. Collaboration is fine with me, and I just added an item about that to the FAQ in the official thread (which we'll all move to right before the New Year).
I know for a fact I want to claim Gunstar Heroes if no one else has (the list would say no). I just bought a copy on eBay a few days ago and it should arrive sometime the beginning of January.
About the game genie though, can an exception be made? I bought the Japanese version of the game and need to enter a code to get past the region lock because my MD isn't yet modded. The game is more or less the same as the US version from what I know.
If that would mean I can't do the game for this then I'd be willing to do Sparkster instead as it's another one I haven't ever beaten.
As for a sports game I'd be willing to do NHL 95' as it's not claimed and while I might hate the idea of playing it, I think I can beat it without too much hassle.
(Or if I could I'd be willing to do all three games)
This could be a fun thing to do some videos on for my YT channel too![]()
The PGA series is battery-based. I'm hesitant to commit to any of the games in the series without knowing exactly what I'm signing up for, but go ahead and put me down for PGA Tour Golf (the first in the series). That installment has the least amount of tournaments (4), so even if it is eventually decided that the threshold for "beating" a golf game is winning every tournament, I should be able to accomplish that by year's end.
I also own II and European Tour in the PGA series, and, if necessary, I can help out on those titles as well.
In addition, I own Pebble Beach and Chi Chi's Pro Golf, and can, likewise, contribute there.
Oh, using a Game Genie to bypass region lock is 100% OK. If someone can confirm that there's no difficulty differential, or that there aren't any major differences in gameplay, then that sounds fine to me. So:
Everyone, a question -- Gunstar Heroes, Japanese version: yea, or nay?
OK, I'll put you down for it. Who knows, you might enjoy it!
Probably not Sparkster and GH at the same time, since they're both popular games in the same genre (platformer). Once you beat GH, though, if no one has claimed Sparkster, you're welcome to take it on next.
Excellent! I'll put you down for PGA Tour Golf (will edit the thread post now, spreadsheet tomorrow).
For the most part, we've been asking that people keep it to two games + unlimited sports games, and just about everyone's claimed no more than two non-sports games. (There are a couple exceptions, but they tend to involve things that are a hassle to complete, e.g. games that require special hardware, Koei games, or games that involve insane marathon sessions.) I'm less inclined to be a hard-ass when the games involved are obscure, off-beat titles, but I want to make sure everyone gets a fair shot at the well-known games.
And of course, keep in mind this is only about simultaneous claims, and about "reserving" a game so no one steps on your toes.Once you've beaten a game on your list, you're more than welcome to claim another. And you can play whatever you want, and you don't have to pre-commit to everything you play -- everyone's welcome to beat a game without claiming it first, as long as no one else has asked for it already.
I might even help more with the quest, for I just got a Mega Everdrive, and I'm just waiting for it to arrive.
