why?
IIRC Shadow of the Beast can be beaten in 10 minutes, maybe less. Aren't there full runs on YT anyway?
It's very tough to beat on real hardware without cheating.

The funny thing about an oxymoron is, even if you remove the ox, there'll always be a moron. The Question Remains: Y?
Done!
Define "cheating" -- do you count backtracking for health item loops as cheating? If not, then I've beaten it on real hardware without too much trouble. It's challenging, but not impossible at all.
Done!
I remember I beat Shadow of the Best with no cheats BITD.
Once you have it figured out it practically turns into a running game.
It should've had a timer, that would make it perfect for completion contests and such.
For cheating, I mean using the invisibility code. I haven't played it that much, but I heard it was very hard.

It's got a steep learning curve at first, I guess, but personally the game made sense to me right away. Once you know what to do and have the timing down, it's very doable, especially if you use the respawning health items. (I don't know if they're present in the Amiga original, but in the Genesis version there are two places where health items respawn, so you can circle back if you have trouble and try again.)
If you don't use the health loops it's quite a bit harder, and the two levels involved would be quite challenging without them -- but definitely not impossible.
OK. Which are the levels with respawning health items?

Inside the castle, and the side-scrolling "flying" level that follows. In the castle, there's a health item above the starting point that you can go back and get repeatedly -- you have to loop all the way around, but it's more than worth it. Then in the flying level, if you scroll the enemies that contain health items offscreen a little ways, you can then go back and get them again.
The outdoor levels are all pretty easy (once you've memorized them), including the final level, and there's plenty of health available when you're inside the tree.
Noted, thanks. I'll try to remember this next time I play it.

Shouldn't we add the 32x library of games as well? there's only like 48 games I think.
***Visualshock! Speedshock! Soundshock! Now is time to the 68000 heart on fire!***
36 games (in the US), and 5 of those are CD games. We'll have enough to do as it is, believe me.
BTW Thunderblaze16, which sports game were you planning to do?
^One library at a time, I agree. It's a great effort as it is.
