what? the story is what makes panzer dragoon special. not understanding it in it's fullest renders the game quite useless and makes it not much special. if you can't afford it then emulate it or burn it. but don't play the japanese version unless you understand japanese

Does anyone else like to collect japanese releases of games that came out in the west? I like the packaging and artwork a lot more and they're usually around the same price, if not cheaper. I usually only buy domestic releases at my game shop if the case isn't broken and it's cheaper than the japan version. The Quake, Powerslave, and Duke 3D are the main domestic games that I want.

No, it's unbiased analysis. The only fanboyism is people who claim that Hyperstone Heist and Bloodlines are actually as good as their SNES counterparts.

I like to pick up the jewel case Jpn releases only when they are cheaper than the US release and either in English or have no need of understanding the language. That said, if I can get the long box US version I will because I like looking over my games from more than six inches away and being reminded of what I have.

I don't really have the space to display a ton of longboxes. My jewel case games are on a cheap DVD shelf with my Doctor Who collection and my Sega CD and US Saturn games go in my desk cupboard because I don't have anywhere else to put them. The shelves are slightly too short to fit the longboxes, which really sucks.

always check german ebay for sega stuff, especially saturn or spanish ebay and ask if they send to uk, where you are correct? I think spain alone has like 25 pages of saturn stuff alone. but mostly say they only send within the country but when you ask they usually will send in europe too

If you only find value in the story of RPGs, then you should stick to watching videos/films/shows/etc instead of playing games.

In Japan, did every copy of every game that required a ram cart come with a ram cart? It seems like it'd be a waste to do that since someone who bought KOF would have been likely to buy Metal Slug or one of the other ones. You only need one. Did people who bought all the games have stacks of ram carts they never used?

There were two options. One came bundled with the Cart, the other was just the game. So if you bought X-men vs Street Fighter you didn't have to buy Street Fighter Alpha 3 with the RAM cart, you could get the single release. My copy of SFA3 on the Saturn is actually the single release.

Did the bundled releases come in blank cases with no inserts? I've seen copies of X-Men that look like they have no back insert.

The bundled ones came in a clear case with no back insert but they did have the manual in the front.

I do miss my Sega Saturn, traded a old tube type Ham radio for it. Ended up selling it off to help pay for bills. I need to get another Saturn, quite a few great games on that system.

Is $49 for Bulk Slash a steal? I've been looking around and prices are all over the place, but $49 was among the best I could find. I hesitated last time I wanted it and wasn't going to let someone else beat me to it again.
