It appears to be a cassette-style case for Famicom cartridges. I'm including it with Mother 1 so I don't have to put foam inside the box.
Mother 1 and the FF Trilogy have one person interested over at neo-geo.com.

Are you still open to any kind of trades? I do have an original white Game Boy Advance system but I don't see anything else I have on your trade list. What is that worth to you off hand? I'm dead broke now, thanks to a junk work van that I still have payments on but I could trade if there's anything you're looking for. I'm specifically interested in the Gemini system.

Do you have a rough idea of anything else you're looking for? I have way too much stuff to list and it would take me several days which I don't have right now as I'm trying to prepare for a garage sale.
For Sega stuff I don't have much games left now, one or two Genesis dupes and a handful of SMS dupes. I also have a really clean Genesis 3 if you're interested.

The Genesis 3 sounds good, but I'd have to know what revision it is, that's easy enough to see by unscrewing the case and looking at the mainboard.
As for other stuff I like. Well, I like Neo Geo but I never bother asking about that because it's so rare. I could use a working Sega CD of some sort, Model 2 would be nice. I like Famicom and Super Famicom stuff, mostly anything that's decent to play or is an RPG. I'll also take NES, SNES and Genesis sports games if you got a bunch.
Oh and I've added some more translated Famicom RPGs.
