Cause they were Amiga fighting games. 1 button. Like in mortal kombat - HP = right + fire, LP = left + fire, block = down-left + fire, low kick = fire twice, high kick = back + fire twice, etc.

Imagine how infuriating those sorts of games must have been with those controls. And thats already on top of the usual poor quality of the ports. Gave them a general distaste for fighting games, although they'd praise good fighting games like Shadow Fighters or Fightin' Spirits (both of which deserve to be praised).
    A retarded Sonic.

Looks like MrSega is still mad over something that happened almost 20 years ago.

So I take it that Amiga CD32 must have a pretty crypic control interface?

Also, it blows my mind that NG gave this piece of metal shit a perfect score several months before it was released.

Which goes to show you that bribery does exist in game journalism. Acclaim obviously paid the editor to spew propaganda for their worthless ass game.

In July 2013, Exactly 164 months after Dreamcast launched, something BIG will happen at SEGA. Which is "ORBI" the world.

All the NAYSAYERS will be silenced forever when Orbi get's its "Notice of Allowance".

No, the CD32 had a standardized controller scheme. 6 buttons as opposed to one. The CD32 just came months before Commodore as a whole died.

However if I remember correctly, the controller didn't use more than 1 button for 90% of the games.
This is your money, give me a smoking.

Only 1 Button??????? How the hell did most people play games on it then?

Dear God, that controller looks wretched.

I then lost video game privileges for about a week. It was worth it.

Um...no. Hell, I like Hard Drivin' and don't really see what people's major problem with it is. Sure it's ugly, but no more so than the majority of proper 3D games released around that time. Plus you can loop the loop! If you want some really ugly early 3D games, then those flight/tank simulators on consoles were as nasty as all get-out. F22 Interceptor, M-1 Abrams Battle Tank...

    BEBE'S KIDS!

Bebe's Kids was awesome back in the day and I almost forgot about that movie. I had no idea they released a video game. I don't care how bad it is I have to have it.
I don't play old stuff for nostalgia, I play old stuff because the games are better.

When the guy in that Hard Drivin' video kept saying it was the worst framerate he'd ever seen, I kept thinking "Uh, have you played (1) any other early 3D games, or (2) any of the other ports of Hard Drivin'/Race Drivin'?" I mean, SNES Race Drivin' is glacial by comparison.

My comment had nothing to do with the game, and everything to do with lashing out at carts lol.
