    Default Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams

I have been playing this and I'm quite impressed with it. Fans of classic platformers should check it out.

I was a fan of the original C64 game in the '80s. It never had the following in North America that it did in Europe since it never officially came out here but I was exposed to it via the sprite hacked version turned into Super Mario Bros..

Sega-16 interviewed that hacker but now I forget who it was. Anyone (Melf) remember? If not, I'm sure I'll re-read all the interviews on this site eventually.

The 2009 DS return was respectable but it was somewhat easy and bland. This new game is more challenging, full of nice colourful backgrounds, a rocking soundtrack, and has an on-the-fly character switching mechanic that sets the game apart from being a Mario clone. The fireball attack has a bit of a modern Sonic homing vibe.

It looks cool, definitely on my 'to play' list. I liked the DS game a lot. Never found it too easy, so if this one is a lot harder, I don't know, might be a bit too annoying for me, but we'll see. Too bad it's download only, I would've loved to get a physical copy of it.

It's a solid platformer and the switching mechanism is wicked, but compared to the DS outing it doesn't have the same appealing cartoony character.. Not bad for the occasional colourful romp. I wish the music was more memorable, though.

It looks really cool, and I do enjoy my platformers. I remember being really interested in playing it when I first seen the trailer on Steam, but I'm going to wait and see if the price comes down a bit during one of Steam's sales.

Looks cool but some of the backgrounds seem a bit too busy to me, like they might get a little distracting.

The original C64 game was more or less a straight up SMB clone, correct?

I decently liked the DS game, it certainly didn't try to reinvent the wheel or anything but it was fairly pacey and I liked the classic-Euro vibe it had going on in it.

Its nice to see some of this stuff getting sequels now, there's supposed to be a new Dizzy game hopefully being made too and I'm actually kinda' looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Yeah, this is definitely a good game. I like it for sure. And yes, it does have challenge to it, unlike the DS game.
