I have, it's interesting and much better playing than Command Mission which it inspired. It still feels pretty clunky, a little repetitive (though not even close to the level of Command Mission) and only like the start of a really great idea.

I did like the new characters and their art though, such as the early version of Star Wolf seen in Drakon's avatar. I can totally understand why they chose to forget it in favor of Star Fox 64 though it would've been a cool game to have in the SNES library.

Star Fox 64 is great, but I REALLY wish they would've just released the second game on the SNES regardless.

That's all that really matters at the end of the day.

Star Fox reminds me more of the Muppets than Star Wars.
A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."

If wasn't posting from my iPhone, I would have put up a YouTube video of "Pigs in Space!"

Yes I have. They made the stages too short and simple, which is a tragedy.

StarFox 2 was a great game, really loved the walker mode they added
Reminds me a lot of Vortex which was another FX Chip favorite.

Another question though is if Trevor McFur or StarFox was really made first.

I'm pretty sure that no one wanted to "copy" Trevor Mcfur.

Wikipedia says the japanese version of starfox came out in february 1993. Trevor mcfur, sometime in 1993 (doesn't say the month because nobody gives a flying crap about this game).

Yeah, that's why I wonder. Also even if it came out before doesn't mean it entered production first.

And yeah, Fox was much cooler when his legs were obviously robotic as well as the rest of the starfox crew.
Kinda' wish they'd stayed with that throughout the series.

Yeah the first starfox seemed really serious. Starfox 64 was some sort of kiddy-fest.

Trevor McFur was a launch title in November 1993.

    LOL'ing at the cover art.

To the OP, I think SF has lots of inspiration from Star Wars, and I love it for that.

I just played it now. I'm going to have to record and post a new playthrough since I've since upgraded my snes audio since the last playthrough I recorded.

For sure, I just find it amusing starfox is a better game than any star wars game I've ever played.
