Please try to fix the SMS first

I have 5 SMS, the one I have that was going to be the donor is messed up, its a power issue I think. I have had it for 10 years and never really tried to fix it because I had others that works. I kept it hoping the Bios is the Missile Defense 3D, I have a Snail maze/no game, Hang on Safari hunt, Hang On only, and Alex Kidd on my SMS 2. I guess I could Fix it and just use my extra Missile Defense game Rom and put it in it but I really want to play my GG games on the TV... I guess I alway have ROMS, just not the same.

Sacrificing a SMS board wont really give you much benefits beside having the thing fit more or less easily inside a SMS Case. If you just want to play GG on a TV you need to start by installing the GGTV board on the GG motherboard anyway.

couldnt I play card games on the GG if I would use the SMS board ? I might just get the video board and put a port on the GG.

I think you could play card games on the GG, but im not sure. One thing I would like to try is running SMS games on a early GG and overclock it, to compare if it operates differently than an overclocked SMS.
Later revisions of the GG cannot be overclocked. Mine is one of those.

I think all of my GG are the early ones, what games are on it that is worth overclocking for ?

By early ones I meant Dual ASIC GG. There are a bunch of games on the SMS with significant slowdown. Look for my SMS overclocking thread on this forum.

MaxWar I took apart the Master System and look what I foundAttachment 8721 I think that might be why its not powering on so I am getting a new REG 7805 tomorrow for $0.42 cheap fix for the Master system I was going to trash, and its a 3101 no variance

Well, it is positively fried. But check if the the power rail is not shorted or anything. It might be like that for a reason. Before trying it with the new one check with a multimeter

So the traces look good I didn't find any voltage past the ic

new IC placed in and I have a Black and white out of the RF and looks fine on the AV.
