1993 Multi-pathed Console Rail Shooters - Night Striker vs. Star Fox

I like them both. I picked Night Striker, but I've only played the Saturn version. I prefer the look of sprites over unshaded/untextured polygons. Since Star Fox isn't free roaming, there was no real need to go with polygons. They just did it for the 'gee whiz' factor. I think Star Fox would be better with sprites.

The first starfox barely has any "cute childish characters". I love super metroid, street fighter 2 and ketsui, I don't see any cute childish characters in those

Yeah, really. Anyway, at least you can see how he came to conclude that: "FM was a great idea for 8-bit consoles.", "snes slowdown doesn't bother me since it's always at 60 fps.", "Unfortunately samurai shodown games didn't really get it right until number 4 by which point people were probably already sick of the series (4 came out in like...1996).", "Too bad virtua racing sucks mega b@lls.", "I have, I prefer starfox." (when commenting about X-Wing/TIE Fighter series on MS-DOS), "The first starfox felt like a very serious game with some adult themes", "I prefer the snes but ONLY because snes games used it properly pretty much every time and most genesis games didn't really use the genesis audio hardware in any great ways most of the time.", etc...

I just looked on youtube. The only videos I found for it have poor audio quality and don't do justice to Zuntata.

Sure I can give it another try when my sega cd shows up. But for now I prefer starfox.
