The GeForce GT650m GPU. On max settings and Power i7.
Damn, that is impressive!
Lucky Japanese with a high end laptop running Windows 8 for under $1,500. That's not easy to come by.

Two things.
1. We're all fans of Sega.
2. We don't like jumping to conclusions supported by misleading bullshit with no source.
It will stand to be ridiculed and mocked, unless there's a solid foundation for any argument. It will likely be ridiculed and mocked EVEN IF there was proof of an actual product in development. Why? Because everything that was great about Sega is gone from the company.
These laptops are fan service licensing. Standard ODM laptops with OEM badging on them.
The marketing trend in Japan as a PC manufacturer, is to do anything to cater to selective markets. Look at Fujitsu's Floral Kiss laptop for women.
This is just a laptop aimed at Sega fans. Licensing and merchandising the brand legacy out to an OEM so they can sell off the shelf PCs with ridiculous paint jobs.
Power i7? GT650m is a midrange laptop GPU.

Actually Windows 8 laptops with Power i7 and built in GeForce 600 GPUs start at almost $2,000.

Most mid Range Laptops use the 500 series. All of SEGA and Enterbrain's run GeForce GT650m
Both the ASUS and Mac brand Laptops using GT650 are priced at almost 2 Grand. Most of them.

According to their official site, you can purchase a Standard SEGA logo model for at least 99,750 yen which is around $950 when you adjust yen dollar to US dollar strength level(meaning you take 20% off.)

I responded with links that flagged the mod filter. Look at your own links.
I personally own an Asus with the GT650m and it was only $1100 on sale, last year. The GPU is a GT, it's not GTX. The difference between the two would be night and day on being relevant here.
GT650m is mid-range. 1200 laptops with i7 processors & Windows 8 use them. You have no idea what you're talking about. You linked to 1 old, highly marked up Dell laptop, with a 17" display and are claiming that MOST of these mid-range piece of shit laptops cost $800 extra.
Right. So it's bottom line is going to be a 800 laptop marked up to 1000. Typical PC, and nothing lucky or special about it aside from the paint job.Originally Posted by MrSega
I know the difference between GT and GTX. GT uses GDDR3 and GDDR4 at only 128-256MBs and is limited to under 2GBs of backup RAM. GTX only uses GDDR 5 set at 384MBs and has more than 1 or 2 GBs of RAM built in. Anyone could figure that out. So no, don't call me stupid, because I'm not. Also where did GTX come from in the topic? Nowhere, the video links GT650m not GTX.

As long as this is contained in here I'm okay haha.
I never called you stupid, I said you don't know what you're talking about. You sit there reading off spec sheets, claiming that Nvidia's current gen, midrange mobile GPU, is high end and implying they're only in laptops that cost 2 grand.
A mobile GTX entered the equation because it's the only rational basis for your claim of price, if you were misinformed it would be understandable. Since you know better enough to argue about it though, carry on making yourself "look" stupid.
Again, GTX has nothing to do with the topic. Also "Mobile GTX" makes little sense. Nvidia only repackages GT for its Tegra line. And they also ONLY sell GT GPUs in the OEM Laptop market.
Nobody was arguing about anything. I pointed out on how uncommon mid range Notebooks using the 600 series GTs for under $1500 are.
I'm going to move back to relevance in this topic. I don't argue with people.

Right, the GTX has no relevance outside of your astronomical pricing suggestion. The OEM market is what we're talking about here, and Asus, Acer, Toshiba laptops priced 999-1199 use a GT650M & an Ivy Bridge i7 processor (Haswell isn't out yet, and I have no fucking clue where you're getting this "Power i7" from.)
You're saying it's not common under $1500, and you backed it up with a $2000+ argument.
Anybody can look at what you're claiming here right now, look at newegg, ncix, tigerdirect, or any other PC retailer. They can verify this point, and rightly be completely skeptical about everything you're saying from now on.
who actually manufactures this laptop?
