Pretty much my experience as well. Also reped for the Master Race comment.

I'm a member of the PC master race. I've built my last 2 gaming PCs in the past 3 years. You should check out the comments left on Alienware videos posted on Youtube. The PC builders laugh at the people that spent too much money for sub-par performance.

My laptop is a piece of crap, because I don't play MMOs, thus I have no need for an overpriced piece of hardware that would get outperformed by a $650 desktop PC. You could build a pretty bad-ass desktop PC for $1500.

I can see the need for a dedicated MMO player to have a rock solid laptop, but you'll usually find that they are happy with just the laptop over a desktop PC.

A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."

Sega isn't selling them. Enterbrain is. They are Clevo product as I've already told you. The price isn't marked up like Apple either, they are about the same price as the ODMs sell the same thing as. And those other companies you mentioned don't sell Clevo notebooks, they are their competition. And Coby? Really? The high-end of garbage electronics?

Its just an example. I hate both of those brands myself.

@Tripredcus. Nowhere on Enterbrain's retail site does it say their Clevo manufactured. Clevo's brand name is nowhere to seen on the link. So how did you draw that conclusion?

We all build our own PCs. We also take it seriously enough to buy secondary hardware if we want to. PC builders laugh at people who spend too much when they don't need to, not because they're buying something as needless as a gaming laptop when compared to a desktop rig. There's a point to be argued there when we're talking about prebuilt desktops, but not laptops. It's accepted as a needless niche, enough to be almost only secondary and for the serious PC gamer. Nobody's looking for top-end performance, just convenience in a portable desktop replacement.

I wouldn't take anybody who puts money into those gaming laptops any less seriously. Usually the customers for them know what they're buying ahead of time and have the disposable income for it. The people who buy those laptops have no problems replacing them in 2-3 years with new top of the line hardware. I've seen them being used in LAN parties more than anything else.

I wouldn't expect their site to say it is a Clevo, most OEMs don't. Since its a product I am familiar with, I can tell by the photos that are made available. I don't have one on hand at the moment unfortunately. The two things I can say for sure is the chassis molding, the left side input arrangement, and the button bar are the exact same. Also, other OEMs also sell this model with different "skins" which I don't think are stickers. The entire panel on the backside of the lid is available in many different colors. For example, AvaDirect sells theirs with 11 different panel colors as an option.

You ever heard of Black Box?

They take other manufacturers' products, slap on the Black Box logo and sell it in their catalogs. It's pretty funny to see a product I know was manufactured by someone else, with the BB logo on it.

The company that sells networking, racks and POS items? I wouldn't be surprised really.

Anyways, I've confirmed that these custom Sega shell pieces are not available for separate purchase in the Channel, which makes a lot of sense.

Nice vid. Thank God this " Playstation Orbis" nonsense is finally over. Now SEGA won't have any trouble selling their Orbi brand.
