Just ban Mr Sega and go on our merry way
I never said it was personal. You did when you brought up egos.
While Sega-16 may be laid back, I don't see that as where it's reputation lies. It's reputation lies in it being an excellent community for old Sega consoles as well as a wealth of information and knowledge on these systems and their games. Having MrSega getting away with spewing blatantly wrong information in the long run could tarnish that reputation.
And even in the most laid back forums there are boundaries. There are people on this forum who have been banned for less or similar actions to what MrSega does. MrSega derails threads, spams the forums with misinformation, and is pretty much an attention seeking troll. If he was being sarcastic it would be one thing, but he's not. In my opinion he's just as bad as people like 16Bitter were, only instead of making ridiculous console war threads for the sake of trolling, he's instead spamming crazy speculation and misinformation in not only his own threads, but in other people's threads as well. And on top of that all his other posts and threads he's made have been threads whose sole purpose is to get a reaction out of other posters and troll.
It may have been funny for the first month but now it's run it's course.
I said this in another thread, but the only way I can see Sega being hardware relevant in the future is if they set up a Sega shop on Valve's proposed new Steam network API ecosystem & they partner with an OEM like HP or Dell to build a Sega centric Steambox with a low latency gamepad controller standard for all their new PC & Arcade games.
That is practical, and probably only viable if Valve gives OEM vendors a slice of all games sold through their version of the client. A Sega badge on a console would go a long way for the marketing. Sega would remain multi-platform, but have their foot in the door again on being the first-party focus of a piece of hardware.
A lot of hand shaking would need to happen, but it would be a benefit to everybody involved if they all work together at what they currently do best. It's just the most practical way I can see for them to tap into the consumer market that grew up with Sega. They could angle it toward the mainstream media as the great return of a massive family-friendly gaming business...
...despite just being a Sega stamp on a Steam powered PC.

I hope Sega will finally say what Orbi is soon so everybody can quit bitching about what it is or what it isn't.
SEGA is the Messiah of Console Gaming.

Sega Orbi will be a wall-mounted condom dispenser & portable toilet mini-game platform.
THE MESSIAH OF CONSOLE GAMING IS BACK!
No no no, Sega Orbi is going to be a oven.
You can cook Mario in it.
Customized Sega Genesis Model 1 - VA3. Energy efficient with buck converters instead of LM7805's.
A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."
Interview about Steambox. Brings Valve's future plans to light for the first time:

More recent video about the economics of the industry, how their business is run, and how they will evolve:
Part 2 session:
Valve wants to bring the PC to the living room by getting developers to build turn-key PCs. Console-like boxes that you just power on and use to access Steam. Valve wants to use biometrics in game controllers and have Steambox serve games to multiple displays. This is the future of console gaming. Sony & Microsoft could easily shift this way. Valve wants to make Steam an API for user generated content and markets, which is according to their data from Steam, more productive for gaming than anything any corporation can put together and sell.
Gaming is about to get crazy and awesome.
The first Steambox shown off at CES:
The Piston. A small form factor, high performance, custom modular x86 gaming PC.

All this conjecture and flaming. I thought everyone already knew that "Orbis" is going to be a game based on the Doctor Who audio drama from a few years ago.
Currently Reviewing: Desert Strike (SMS), Galaxy Force (SMS)
Coming Up:TF3 Side by Side
Done: Jim Power: The Lost Dimension
It's sad that people on the net don't like to read. They'd rather read gossip and innuendo on pretentious game sites instead of official documented US Government paperwork filed by Kabushiki Kaisha Sega.
If you had done so,then you'd know what I'm talking about.
"ORBI" is a MULTI-BRAND Trademark. It currently exists on large books of paper. And it's a trademark that SEGA paid $5,000 to be proccessed for registration.

WORLD EXCLUSIVE: the sega Orbi is designed in collaboration with Lockheed Martin and imagination technologies and is the successor to the dreamcast. It contains 40 different custom CPUs manufactured by Smith Corona. It uses magneto-optic holographic 12 inch OVLD-H (Orbi versatile laser disc holographic) media.
It's arcade counterpart, which has 12 terabytes more RAM than the console version, is rumored to have sonic the fighters 2 as a launch title, exclusively in Japan and Hungary.
The orbit is also rumored to have a "secret weapon" trump card chip built in, that was developed in the Pentagon.
