Looks great! I will have to run down to the nearest office store to pick up the gold edition of the original game which is unfortunately not in my possession. Also could not find AOE on GOG or Gamersgate :C

But hey, retail for such games is always awesome

Of course AOE's not on GOG or Gamersgate, it was published by Microsoft and MS only sells its games on its own store... and doesn't sell any of its older games anywhere. You can buy AOE3 on their store, but not the first two, or any of the other '90s PC games MS published. It's quite sad -- some are good!

Forgotten Empires looks fine and all, but I've been enjoying the huge mod "Age of Chivalry: Hegemony" more. It changes a ton of things in the game, it ends up feeling like a new game, rather than an expansion pack. It must be really, really hard to keep everything in balance when you are tacking content on.

Even then, I've enjoyed Age of Empires 1, 2 and their expansion packs for over a decade. Here's to another of fantastic bouts of sacrificing villagers to lions, calling upon the powers of god's lightning bolts with a cheat unit, amassing huge formations of Siege Onagers to mow down entire battalions of helpless infantry units and assassinating the king in secret while you distract the enemy at their most fortified section of their base.

Ooh! This is pleasant news! I didn't expect another expansion pack for Age of Empires! Thanks for the info Streetsofrage! *Repped!*

Normally I would be inclined to agree without much question.
But seeing as Ubisoft has AC, Prince of persia, Far cry 1+2 and EA put up The medal of honor allied assault warchest on GOG without turning it into battlefield 2142 and basically reselling it as origin only.

I ask not to be faulted that I had that spark of hope lol
