    What did you expect? Sonic is after all the brand's mascot and the most recognizable figure in their catalogue of games.

    Yeah, nothing wrong with the number of games or spinoffs in general, but the quality of the majority of games following Sonic Adventure 2 is the real problem. (well, the 2D handheld games tended to fare better)

    As far as 3D stuff goes, it looks like they finally might be getting back on track with genuinely good overall gameplay and design going by what I've seen with Sonic Generations so far (haven't played it yet, but going by the fact that several reviewers leveled complaints almost identical to my own about all other post SA2 3D titles -including Colors-, it's a pretty good sign)
