Be aware that UGCs aren't the same size as genesis cases. They're a fair bit bigger, and stand out when placed next to genesis boxes. It's smarter to try and buy a bunch of junked Genesis boxes over UGCs if you're looking to flesh out your genesis collection. I keep UGCs for SNES titles.

I was just hoping I'd be able to get both, plus house of the dead, plus another saturn for only $80. I suspect the guy realized that HOTD alone goes for more than that on ebay and pulled the listing.

It's little problematic trying to buy Saturn games on Ebay has always been problematic from my experience. If not Amazon, I usually try PlayAsia or JapanGamingStock.

Well I did win a $52 dollar bid on a Japanese White Import Saturn and paid $89 after shipping. I waited over 6 weeks for it to arrive and I love it.

The system works perfectly, the only bummer is that the Cartridge slot is dull and that you have to fasten the 4MB cart or PAR cart on to it while holding it down for 10 seconds.

So yeah, I'm kinda crazy. I brought an import, waited almost 2 months for it and STILL use my old NTSC from 1997. I use and play BOTH my old Saturn and the Import and switch vise versa.

I wish I could say you are crazy but I'd be contradicting myself. I've been doing the same... except worse. I have cases for all my games but some are missing the booklets, so I'm either buying the booklets separately or buying another CIB copy to replace it. if that wasn't bad enough I'm even considering replacing some of my australian versions of games with european copies as many aus games were manufactured very cheaply; they have awful single colour paper instructions and sometimes even have poorly cut out covers (bloodshot).

what's even crazier is I'm not even a collector. I just like quality games.

so now that I'm about 40 games into my genesis collection (just purged about 20 junk and sports games I got in lots), I've decided that I want to do CIB (or at least boxed) games.

This means I'll have to either sell all my cart only games (if I can) and re-buy them(at a much higher price) as CIB, or attempt to find at the very least cases for the cart only games I have now.

I've considered printing covers and using UGCs, but I don't like the clear plastic compared to the black of the genesis.

Am I crazy for suddenly having a change of heart?

Funny. I actually want to do the opposite. With my movie and VG collection as space-consuming as they are, I've been seriously considering trading my remaining Genny boxes and manuals for loose carts. I love the Genny boxes, but they take up way too much space for as much shit I have lying around.

it was a craigslist listing, not ebay (maybe I was a bit confusing in my previous post). I suspected that he looked up ebay prices and saw what they were, then pulled the craigslist ad.

@robotscandance . Craigslist ehh? I'm not too fond of their business practices, and don't do business on their site. but I've heard that you can get smooth deals on games most of the time.

yeah i've had ok luck on craigslist, but where I really get good deals are on local "yard sale" groups on facebook.

I recently bought super smash bros and banjo kazooie for $15 total on there.
