That doesn't include all the people who bought the game digitally. You have to have a game key in order to be an actually subscription player for WoW. You can only get that from purchasing the game at retail or buying one digitally. So in short if WoW has 12 million users, then 12 million copies have been sold between retail and digital.

Also, Diablo 3 did sell 10 million copies:

Did you seriously just use VGChartz as a valid source?

Everybody knows, VGChartz fabricates sales figures. I'm surprised even he didn't know that.
SEGA is the Messiah of Console Gaming.

In July 2013, Exactly 164 months after Dreamcast launched, something BIG will happen at SEGA. Which is "ORBI" the world.

All the NAYSAYERS will be silenced forever when Orbi get's its "Notice of Allowance".

they aren't just fabricated. vgchartz is about as good as a source to get globally. and with rdr I also didn';t include all digital purchases for rdr plus the zombie expansion that sold over 2 millions in physical copies alone. fact is the argument was that diablo 3 and wow outsold rdr massively according to the sonicretard. well complete bullshit that is

You clearly don't understand how WoWs model works. You CANNOT be a subscriber unless you buy the base game in some form. Be it digital or retail, you need a game key that comes with it. So if WoW had 12 Million Subscribers at it's peak, then 12 Million people bought the game either digitally or through retail. That's not including any expansions either, as the base game is required for the expansions.

And the 12 Million number is at bare minimum. It doesn't take into consideration if people quit and new people who get the game and fill their spot so to say. So for example lets say we have 10 subscriptions and you are a current player. If you quit, but I just bought the game and join, we still only have 10 subscriptions, but the game sold 11 copies.

Vgchartz is widely scrutinized as an unreliable metric. It's also not bullshit when you consider that RDR was sold across 2 console platforms, and Wow & D3 being on a single one. People who dismiss PC gaming so easily in favor of consoles refuse to level the playing field for comparison, and see it as a single console competing on it's own.

Nobody will argue that console games and multiplatform games don't sell as well on PC. It's not because PC games are worse or insignificant. It's not because PC gaming is dead. It's because the users have their own genre preferences and have different wants and needs, much like Nintendo gamers. You can clearly see that by looking at the games PC does best. MMORPGs, MMOFPS games, RPGs, Grand Strategy games, etc.

PC gaming is only going to get bigger and better now that the hardware for the next gen consoles is based on the same tech & open development tools, and the Steambox is going forward. A welcome and competitive change of pace for the console space.

Ah MrSega , as usual you are "so NEAR and yet so far" from the truth. I've been watching the PS4 reveal today and they've chosen the name Playstation 4.

Quote "PlayStation - the brand - is evolving, Sony exec Andrew House explained, naming the company's new console as PlayStation 4.

It'll be the place for emerging types of gaming such as episodic and free-to-play games, House added.

"PS4 will unleash imaginations," he explained. "An idea with enough vision to lead the ever-changing landscape."

Quote: "Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. on Wednesday formally introduced its next-generation PlayStation 4 video game console. As expected, the fourth-generation system will hit the market later this year to lead the PlayStation into its third decade. The new console promises to reimagine the video games with a set of new technologies and features never-before-seen by the industry.

Early during the presentation Sony confirmed general technical specifications that have been discussed recently. The new console is based on multi-core x86 microprocessor, PC-derivative graphics processing unit, will come with 8GB of GDDR5 memory as well as large-capacity hard disk drive. The new system will also utilize new DualShock 4 game controller with integrated touchpad as well as better motion sensing."

Never mind, MrSega maybe one day you'll get something right.
