Honestly, it's kind of too bad that Tails Adventure was a GG exclusive back then too. Would have been cool as a home console game.

As for Shadow . . . as far as the 3rd person shooter + platformer aspect goes, I'd be fine with that, but there's other areas where that game fell short (especially if you don't play it in small doses -the redundant playthroughs can get grating for one, and the control/mechanics aren't nearly as tight as SA2). The shooter aspect worked a hell of a lot better than the vehicles did . . . yet that's the gimmick that got re-used for Shadow in some later games. (and made for some of the hilariously bad moments of Sonic '06 for one)

OTOH, with the huge margin for screwing up that sort of IP again, it would probably be better to play it safe and avoid that entirely.
I remember preserving Shadow for Xbox back in '05 at Gamestop(when I was still doing business with them), I got both a Shadow beanie winter cap and the Prima Strategy guide.

I begin to play the game on Christmas day. I found it different, solid and derivative in a positive way. But to me the game felt rushed albeit ambitious. It was obviously supposed to be a longer and more elaborate game, but seeing that Scott Steinberg was running SOA at the time, it was rushed out for the holiday season of 2005 which is why I believe many people's complaints were legitimate(the camera and sluggish controls).

The character designs themselves weren't bad and the storyline and voice acting(even though it was handled by the reviled NYAV/4Kids team) were actually pretty well done. The game's pace just didn't stay balanced and the extras themselves felt unfinished.

To me the game felt like Sonic 3 all over again.

Speaking of Tails Adventure 2, a new report is showing SEGA giving Tails Adventure a digital re-release possibly for PSN,XBLA,Steam, 3DS e Shop.

I would for one actually love some spinoffs, one I've been waiting for long enough is for Sonic SatAM to get its time in the sunlight :B

I really liked the prototype they had running for the Gen/MD at one point, but sadly we never saw more than the footage.

But I'd like to see them just try to make spinoffs of the characters and maybe adapt the gameplay a bit to better suit the characters key features.
Wasn't a big fan of the Shadow game though, kinda' was like sonic with vehicles and guns.

SEGA doesn't own SATam or its likeness. Archie Comics & and DiC/Cookie Jar does. SEGA still only controls the likeness of its game characters to be used in the comics. Meaning they can easily pull this license from Archie Comic Publications if they wanted to.

The Comic characters will never appear in game form because SEGA doesn't own their likeness and doesn't want to.

Although Sega of America did use them in Sonic Spinball and STI based "Tiara Boobobski" from Sonic Xtreme off of Sally.(Which is why Sonic Team hated the project.)

And to be fair, Knuckles Chaotix would be pretty interesting if was remade for mobile. But Tails Adventure 2 seeing the light of day is likely inevitable.

I am sure that if people asked him, he would have no problem with trying to recode Chaotix with the use of his engine.

There's a 32X emulator on the original Xbox; I've used it countless times. It's very good. I don't follow you.

It doesn't run well on newer Operating Systems. You need to read my post.

Reading your post doesn't state the basis of your claim. What "newer" OS can't emulate 32X or System 32 well?

I did, it's just what you're saying doesn't make a lick of sense. How is it old hardware such as the original Xbox can do it, yet for "newer Operating Systems" it's "damn difficult to do".

I really want to know what it is that makes 32X emulation so hard to do on these phantom OS? Please tell me.

So long as there is a Gens port to said operating system, 32X emulation is there at full speed.

I don't know why you lumped the System 32 in with it, because it's a completely different machine. They're not at all similar.

so how exactly does Whitehead's Retro engine work? I'm curious because it sounds pretty efficant.
It's not emulation. He rewrote the entire game to play as similar to the original as possible, using the old data from the original game.

I am sure that if people asked him, he would have no problem with trying to recode Chaotix with the use of his engine.
He can do it, but you are really trivializing the amount of work he has to do to make this happen. Putting together his Retro Engine isn't simple, even if information on how to build a similar engine is freely available. It's an incredibly laborious process.
    A retarded Sonic.

Because it has "32" in the name.

That was just painful to read, if you're gonna call yourself MrSega you might want to read up on the stuff you talk about first.
