That was a typo, I meant Batman Forever the Arcade game, it is a proper beat-em up.

I imagine the vocal criticism is just backlash from the game being praised for so long.
I often saw it in people's top 10 lists and recommendations. Then when I eventually purchased it I was dismayed by how boring and sluggish it is.

This video should give you the full skinny on Astal's Gameplay:

That LP right there should convince ANYONE to give it a go.

how is that game? The only review of it I've ever seen comes from Screw Attack where they were all "olol this game sux bc u can do 400 hit combos"

which makes no fucking sense. The video they showed looked at least better than the other home ports. Is it?

Astal was one of the first saturn games I got after VF, Panzer Dragoon, and Bug!. I absolutely adore it. It sort of feels like you're playing as a super hero. He's got super strength, can blow shit away, can lift heavy objects. I also found the story charming in its simplicity. The twist at the end was neat and I honestly didn't see it coming.

I'm actually becoming more and more interested in buying it for my import as each day goes by.

As you can see by reading this thread, it isn't everyone's cup of tea. For me, I appreciated the various in game cut scenes which made the story that much more compelling. If you enjoy 2D platformers, in my opinion it's a must buy.

The one game I am really trying to get my hands on is Mr. Bones. But I don't feel like shelling out 40 bones for a copy!

Mr. Bones is one of my favorite Saturn games. It's challenging and has tons of variety. And awesome cutscenes.

You just can't handle my jawusumness responces.
