    That is because unlike the others, this one was made in Japan. Any cartoon based on games is bound to suffer drastic changes if created outside of its country of origin (e.g. The Legend of Zelda TV Series from 1989).

    Funny how the Archie's Sonic Comics from the early 90's had both the badniks from AoStH and Sonic's friends from SatAM.
