In any case, it seems like we're on the same page - the situation sucks, and it shouldn't end like this. I do urge you to try and contact Aaron Webber. The guy isn't hard to talk to, and he's surprisingly open about these sorts of projects. Perhaps try to drum up some fan support too - Sega listens better when there are tons of fans screaming at them to pay attention.
I will say, from everything I've seen, that Sega is still one of the coolest, most progressive gaming companies out there. They cherish that image, and if you tell them that their actions are challenging it, they'll listen.

Your post has little to do with what I said. Do you honestly think everyone affected or pissed on youtube saw that ? Do you honestly think that 5 month apology is good enough for them ? Period.
I'm not going to go into this any further as the discussions I've had about it with the head of Bombergames are private,
All I can say is that the original C&D did not mention anything about Sega having problems donations being made to keep
the Bombergames server online.
I'm sure that Aaron guy might have told you something different, but the fact remains that no such thing was mentioned
in the letter that Sega send to Bombergames.
Once again Sega being Sega, the left hand not knowing the right hand is doing.
The fact that there was no such mention in the letter does not mean that was not the reason. I'm sure I know precisely what the C&D letter said, the usual shit about copyright infringement and all that jazz. Because that's what it is. Sega's own personal line between "fan projects" and "copyright infringement" lies where money is taken in. You can wring your hands about the past, crying "why oh why didn't they tell us why it was shut down!" or you can listen at the person who is explaining it to you. That same person has been key in getting several of these kinds of projects off the ground and into peoples homes as officially sanctioned sega products. I'm saying TALK TO AARON WEBBER.
Or you can pout, I guess.

We shall see, it's not up to you it's up to them. Well I'm glad they apologized like I said. But hopefully all these people pissed and affected get wind of this (is it so hard to do a video response, it would hold a lot more weight).

The person who had the balls to flag videos and ruin some accounts should have the balls to directly contact those people on youtube.
I like Sonic Hacks and SORR, I would love to play SORR (like a rom version made one day) on my Genesis and all this get settled for Criss, but I think Sega was or it SEEMS they were, jealous at their engine.

People are scared to make Sega videos or discuss things now. I know that for a fact. I just pm the apology screenshot to some who were affected, they had no idea about apology or even know who that is. I'm not even going to quote what their response was.

Also, Criss, I'd like to add, on a personal level, that SoRR has been played with some gamepads on my TV numerous times with friends. I've continued to distribute your game, in person, to friends whom I introduce the game to. I understand the passion for making fan games, believe me. I also sympathize with your frustration. I'm merely trying to explain to you how the Sonic scene gets to enjoy all these awesome benefits. It came from a lot of hard work. I would love for you guys to get the same treatment. Hell, if yall join with Sega Retro, Sonic Retro's sister Sega site, you might find people there who can really help you push the project through. 2013 Sega is quite a bit different than 2011 Sega. They have a huge DD focus right now, and high quality remakes with lots of extra features are sort of a commodity right now. You guys shouldn't let the project completely die.
And, no offense jvectorman, but I sort of meant to say I was done arguing with you earlier. You don't really have a dog in the hunt at all, so I don't really feel like trying to quell your outrage. I think it's misguided, however, considering Sega is working to fix the problem. Again, faux rage.
