    Default CD construction

I saw this and was amazed on how much stuff has to be done with a disc before it's usable

I'm sure today, it's not that complicated.
The smell of scorched oil hangs in the air as a premonition of danger, while the engine gloriously shouts its war cry...

Throughout history, suspicion has always bred conflict. The real conflict, though, resides in people's hearts. This conflict has just begun.

For such a new technology, it's amazing how far we've come. I think a factory-pressed CD-ROM can be expected to last from fifty to two hundred years, off-the-shelf CD-Rs last from about twenty to one hundred.

CD-R's don't last forever.. The color dye fades after time, just like how old pictures look faded... It's the same type of dye.. I learned this in some core hardware certification, in photography class, and the hard way..
