Just got my first master system with hang-on and safari hunt built in, two official controllers, an official light phaser, ac adapter, and an rf unit for 73 bucks including insured priority shipping. Should be here in the next two days.
Got Fatal Fury 2 for Genesis complete. $8
How are most SNK fighting games on the Genesis? The SNES version of Samurai Showdown just couldn't hold up on the system's hardware.Originally Posted by VinnyT

A humble birthday haul. Castlevania is as solid and as enjoyable as one would hope of the NES Classic re-release, whereas The PC Namco Museum is.. subpar. Digital Eclipse manhandle an arcade compilation but good. The most heinous misstep of the collection is that upon starting any of the games within the compilation, you are taken back to the desktop where the StarForce copy protection insists on checking the validity of the disc before allowing you access to the chosen Namco classic.
5 empty official Wii game cases - COMPLETE!!!!!!!!!!!!
For the most part, SNK's fighters were better on Genesis than SNES. They were acceptable ports, although still a noticeable downgrade from the Neo Geo versions of course.Originally Posted by Reg

Just got today:
Daisenpu - PC-Engine
Garou Densetsu Battle Archives 2 - Jpn PS2
Enemy of the State - Blu-ray
The Descent - Blu-ray
Babel - HD-DVD
Well, does the image quality of BluRay totally destroy HD-DVD?
No. The image quality for both formats are equal (to my eyes anyway). But I do favor the sound of the uncompressed PCM 5.1/6.1 surround sound (that most Blu-ray discs sport) over the Dolby TruHD (also uncompressed) surround sound that some HD-DVD have.Originally Posted by Joe Redifer

My receiver supports neither of those formats. Need new one.
-Sonic the Hedgehog and the Secret of the Rings - Nintendo Wii - Compleeeeete - Mint condition, probably new.
This game sucks donkey dick. I need to stop buying games for the Wii that have no business being on the system. It uses the Wii remote for things that are done much better (and easier) with typical controls. If games like this keep coming out, my opinion that the Xbox360 is ten times better than the Wii will continue.
Well today I was browsing around a pawn shop and ended up adding another console to my collection.
Sega Saturn US console (Model 1)
AC power cord
2 official Sega controllers (good ones not the chunky US ones)
Myst (Complete)
Virtua Fighter 2 (in a Wipeout case for some reason, no manual)
Virtua Cop (in cardboard sleeve)
Total: $50 CDN (about $40-$45 US)
Considering Saturn consoles and games are scarce where I live, I was glad to pick this up, unfortunately the vendor did not have any RF or AV cables, so I'm getting a friend to order one off Ebay for me. It's gonna be a little while before I can start playing it.
Up on the shelf; it's a bird, it's a plane, it's Sega Genesis! Faster processing than a SNES, more powerful than a TG-16, able to play 8-bit, 16-bit, 32-bit and CD-ROM games on a single system (with the CD, 32x and power base converter, of course)
What's screwy with the controls in this one, Joe? Is it more than just a learning curve deal?Originally Posted by Joe Redifer
