But it has a plastic box! I thought only Sega, NEC and later SNK cared enough to provide cool plastic boxes for their carts.

Namcot kicks ass. They made their own Genesis boxes and Genesis carts as well instead of having Sega do it like most other companies did. Their Boxes/carts looked almost identical to regular Sega stuff, though.

I dont recognize that background from the original kof 98, but the visuals look pretty well done on the genesis version. definately different characters though with the added street fighter characters. so lol, how bad or good is the bootleg in terms of gameplay? Originally Posted by 108 Stars

It´s...playable. Pretty slow, bad collision detection, so not good at all. But it is playable. I may write a review for it...
but I could really only recommend it as a bizarre piece of a collection, since it is worse than any other MD-Beat´em up I know....wait, Rise of the Robots is much worse.
I suggest you just download the ROM.
