It looks like Lupin the 3rd -- definitely one of my favorite old-school anime titles.

But it has a plastic box! I thought only Sega, NEC and later SNK cared enough to provide cool plastic boxes for their carts.

    Gotta love Google:

I take it, you won it?
The smell of scorched oil hangs in the air as a premonition of danger, while the engine gloriously shouts its war cry...

Throughout history, suspicion has always bred conflict. The real conflict, though, resides in people's hearts. This conflict has just begun.

Namcot kicks ass. They made their own Genesis boxes and Genesis carts as well instead of having Sega do it like most other companies did. Their Boxes/carts looked almost identical to regular Sega stuff, though.

Yeah, it's unrated. I like the R rated version better though.

is it a scaled down port of the neo geo version of king of fighters 98 or is it a completely different game? would be interesting to see how that turned out on the genesis.

Itīs a different game. I have yet to see if the backgrounds are ripped from the original because I never played KoF 98.
The concept of having teams of three is there. Characters are Ryu, Guile, Cammy, Andy Bogart, Terry Bogart, Joe Higashi, Ryo, Takuma and someone I forgot.

I dont recognize that background from the original kof 98, but the visuals look pretty well done on the genesis version. definately different characters though with the added street fighter characters. so lol, how bad or good is the bootleg in terms of gameplay?

It´s...playable. Pretty slow, bad collision detection, so not good at all. But it is playable. I may write a review for it...
but I could really only recommend it as a bizarre piece of a collection, since it is worse than any other MD-Beat´em up I know....wait, Rise of the Robots is much worse.
I suggest you just download the ROM.
