    Unfortunately for me I own a VA7, I do own a model 2 Sega CD, and 32x.

I do plan on trying to CCAM the thing.

As of right now its hooked up by composhite, I do plan on getting a scart cable and a scart to component converter box (only hope the TV likes the signal, if not oh well).

    My setup remains:

...which, by the way, happens to be the sexiest setup

    hooked up to a tv:

my original genesis model 1 that I got in 1991 is set up with my sega cd model 2 that I got in 1996 along with my 32x that I got in 1998. i just have it hooked up to a commodore 1084 computer monitor with some av cables.

I had this hooked up to a model 1 sega cd for a while that I got back in 2001 but the disk tray won't stay closed and keeps ejecting the disc so I packed that away and got out my old model 2 cd instead, don't like it as much as the model 1 but at least its reliable and works good.

the other genesis I have hooked up to the commodore monitor with av cables to a switch box is a sega genesis model 1 modified with jp/ us region switch, 50/ 60 hz switch and s-video. it's setup with a jp model 1 mega cd.

    not hooked up:

2 more sega genesis model 1's, a friend gave me his old one for free a few years back.
    model 2 sega genesis
2 model 1 sega cd's, they both have the same problem where the disc tray won't stay closed.
extra model 2 sega cd, also given to me by the same friend who have me his model 1 genesis
    sega genesis 3
    jp megadrive model 1

also, all of my model 1's are not high definition graphics models but that really doesn't bother me at all. If I ever get either of my model 1 sega cd's fixed I'll probably set one of those up instead and pack away my model 2 cd again.

I have a Sega CDX (NTSC) hooked up with RGB to an XRGB mini framemeister going to my LCD 52" Sony XBR-2. My 32 X doesn't seem to be working last time I tried it so its in the closet. And my Nomad has a bad screen.

    I have this:

Megadrive? Yes, a Jap Model 1 VA0 MD.
    Genesis? Yes, 3 VA2 Model 1s, 1 VA6, all HDG.
Sega CD? A Model 1 SCD
    32X? A VA1 32X
Miscellaneous iterations? A Nomad, which I'm still modding.

    This va7 model 1:

crystal clear audio modded (in the process of tweaking the low pass filtering), region switch, s-video installed, wired up a header for easy access to rgb + sync.

I use this system with a sega cd model 2 (including the extender plastic thing), a mega everdrive, and a s-video modded 32x with the ribbon cables removed and the two board hard soldered together.

I have a collection of other models of the gensis, but this's the one I use regularily.

Not to derail the thread, but that ribbon cable removal and hard solder sounds like a really good mod! I had to reseat my 32X ribbon cables to get it working again. Works fine now.

HDG Model 1 + Model 2 Sega CD
6 button controllers, and 6 foot extension cables, to reach the couch.
Hooked up using composite to my 55" LG LED TV, and the CD stereo outs to my Denon receiver.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that it is non TMSS Genesis. I didn't even know to ask about it at the time. All USA stuff.

Good in the sense of absolute madness. It took me an entire weekend to do it's the most painful thing ever. I was just tired of my system freezing mid-game. Now it never freezes.

    1. Model 1 Genesis (VA3, Non-TMSS) hooked up to a 32" Sony Wega CRT via RGB SCART to Component. Kick ass graphics and sound since I recapped the board.
    2. Model 1 Genesis (VA6, TMSS) wrapped in plastic, sitting in my dresser.
    3. Sega Master System (US Model) hooked up to the same Sony TV via composite. I'm working on getting another RGB to Component converter and cable since the TV can handle it.
    4. Game Gear with a few games. Nothing fancy.

I do have an NES and SNES with some nice games for each one, but they've just been sitting in plastic bags since I can't put down my Genesis or SMS.

That sucks to hear! I was going to see if I could tackle it myself.

Mine occasionally freezes at the Space Harrier menu screen for some reason. Can't remember if it freezes otherwise.
