This is how you could round things off. If you're going for the "full" SMS experience, might as well go all in.
WHERE CAN I BUY THIS?!?! This is my dream couch. Can I have a Genesis love seat??

Yeah the mastersystem is a really lovely piece of hardware

It's sad to see that it didn't get the third party support it deserved though

Megumi Rescue is one of the most overrated turds released for the SMS, his fame is due to 3 factors, 1: is one of the few games that uses the SMS spinner pad, 2: it was only released in Japan, 3: those who own it are trying to justify their purchase (including the spinner) and inflate the price at the same time, the same applies to Rygar and Solomon's Key, although, those 2 are much better games.

    Wow? really?
    Thanks for that insightful critique.

I quite enjoy "Breakout" style ball and paddle games. The neat trampoline mechanic of Megumi Rescue and saving people from a burning building is a fun twist to this style of game. The numerous point items and variety of stages create a strong challenge which I enjoy. The game controls superbly with the paddle controller.

Sounds like you have a real chip on your shoulder regarding this game, chinitosoccer. What gives?

None, I had a copy of MR long time before the Internet even started, it was a pirate 3 in 1 multicart including Quartet, Teddy Boy and of course Megumi Rescue, I remember my brother used to love that game, after reading an article published in a brazilian videogame magazine, he tried to build his own Spinner controller using an MSX joystick PCB and an actual arcade spinner, the game is almost unplayable without it, hence the why I "hate it".

I believe though MrSega is trying to make a point that converters are fugly looking, and that it's almost a blessing to own a PBC, rather than some alternative.
That as well as how convenient they are especially for hardcore retro collectors. Instead of having to homebrew your own converter.

BTW, has anyone hear ever played Psycho Fox? That's the one SMS game I've been meaning to play for 23 years now.

Lol yes. I have 19 xbox360/ps3 games that i have either bought and shelved or watched the intro played 5minutes then shelved. Just no time! Once i finish modding and selling the consoles i have that will be it. Pack up all the tools and put them away and play the games (what an odd idea?) as well as get back into the rc planes/helicopters. My old man and brother inlaw (who is manager of the local toyworld) are into rc rock crawlers at the moment, might give that a go as well.

Cool. I guess the best thing for me to do is watch a speedrun of it on YouTube.

Don't you have a Dreamcast or a PC to play it on?

That's like saying you hate light gun games because they require a light gun, geez.
