Funny thing is, i didn't even really need the N64 games i downloaded on VC because i already had the original games on N64. I also had the Wind Waker bonus CD which means i already had OOT twice. Of course i also had the pirated roms which, in the case of the handful VC N64 games i bought, were probably legal since "you can only download roms for games you already own".

So why did i bought the VC versions? Well, first of all i thought it was convenient to have the games on the Wii and i knew they had the same resolution improvement as the OOT bonus disc (480p). I can play with even higher resolution on my PC but i also thought that, heck, why not support Nintendo with this, given that all these years being in emulation scene, i have almost every single rom on my computer for any older console/home computer ever existed.

Unfortunately i didn't know about the 50hz thing. I actually paid money to buy trash roms. And this was the 2nd time in my life i felt that a gaming company ripped my off. The first being the RROD thing with 360.

That sucks... I feel bad for you Europeans...

Well that was nice of Nintendo...

Buy Super Mario World and get Super Mario Bros 2 @ 50% off...

So $10.50 for both games... That better?

But that's a good thing, it allows you to do this in real time:

The 50Hz timing gives you a few extra frames to make that jump. At 60Hz it can only be done in a TAS environment.

You actually bought a Wii U? And Launch price I bet. Jeez. Did Nintendo use Jedi, Hypnotics, Pokémon seizure technology, or subliminal on you?
Was there some mass deception flyer sent out through the radio waves?
To this day I've Never ever bought a launch console.
Its way too overpriced, under-tested, and game wise; underdeveloped.
But me, as a savvy, lewd, gamer jew, still need someone to play the part of FOOL.
So in that respect for the role we all play, good job; why stop there?
Hell, they even give away "free" Handheld screens with your purchase.
    Buy three.
These Wii U's Are gonna be Awesome no doubt.
AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT ONE.
But not until they flop in the markets, go for 1/3 of their original price, and the homebrewers crack it open to revive the new DREAMCAST on the dead Wii U.

on the whole its bad though
games tend to be 19 % slower and are usually not pal optimised so they look like saturn daytona usa
    60 hz is always better

but the vc games are locked in to 50 hz
but nintendo has always regarded europe as third rate

I know, I was being funny. Though for Super Metroid PAL isn't necessarily a bad thing if you want to do speed runs. The PAL timing makes certain TAS only tricks doable in real time.

Enough with the calling people FOOL Segadream... that will get you banned... And just so you know. I got my Wii U Deluxe on Craigslist. Some person bought 2 Wii U's and was trying to sell them right before Christmas for $600 i think... But obviously that didn't happen, and he just needed to get rid of it. I talked him down to $260 by January.

I always look for good deals. I wanted a Wii U since it's 1st announcement and would have gladly paid the original price for it. I just got lucky.

Good luck with that whole 2/3's price drop on the Wii U. It will obviously drop in price. But I doubt you'll be able to get one cheaper than I did for quite a while.

Its the perfect platform for homebrewers to consolize the next dreamcast.
And its got "hook alert!" A huge new "VMU". Give the masses time, it will happen.
From my mind to reality, its happened plenty of times. You just have to know where to apply the stroke. The genius being myself. And eureka!

Ah ok, normally what happens in that room is this:

The PAL timing allows you to get through the door before it locks. On the NTSC version the door stays open for less frames and it closes sooner due to the faster timing. You can still get through the door but it requires pixel perfect and frame perfect timing and positioning. It's basically only doable in a Tool Assisted environment.
