unfortunally with the succes of the last of us ( and the superflyuosu zombie threat tacked on it ) and the walking dead
the zombie fad seems to shuffeling and rotting along with us for quite some time

where thsi stupid fucking rancid fad really jumped the ( undead) shark for me was with idw's first company wide cross over ( another groan inducing fad ) and it involved zombies AND the transformers

But Transformers don't have brains to eat. They have computer chips. Anyway, let's just be thankful that the Vampire fad is over. The Last of Us is the Zombie fad in it's death throes. It's good that the last of us was so good. Now everyone will be disappointed with anything that comes after, and this thing can finally fade away. Hopefully the next fad will be some decent comedy or action flicks. Probably be aliens though. In a perfect world it would be a slew of kick ass giant monster movies.
