Xbox One's new used game policy is REALLY bizzare.

SEGA is the Messiah of Console Gaming.

In July 2013, Exactly 164 months after Dreamcast launched, something BIG will happen at SEGA. Which is "ORBI" the world.

All the NAYSAYERS will be silenced forever when Orbi get's its "Notice of Allowance".

MS' naming conventions have never made sense.

    Win3.1
    Win95
    Win98
    WinME
    WinXP
    WinVista
    Win7
    Win8

See a pattern there? Neither do I.
    It is finished!

Also, I buy too many used games... account locking games are a deal breaker here.
Generally speaking the more the transistors the better I'm sure, I just don't know how to compare it to my budget PC. The PS4 compares rather poorly. Yeah, account locked games is a deal breaker for me but I was going to be done with new consoles anyway I'm going to try to finish archiving a bunch of videos from older consoles as I can and sell my stuff off before it all starts rotting. I hate doing cap replacements.

Way back when Sony first entered the market everybody said they didn't want a game console they wanted a set top box that ruled the living room. Well, here we are and everybody's doing it. I expect to have a game in my hand that I put in a console that I can play whenever or wherever I want. But just like when the industry transitioned over from Action-Arcade centric gaming to tutorial based story Zelda/Halo/COD clones I am a minority and statistically don't matter.

The Bulldozer CPU has 1.2 billion transistors, compared to 1.4 billion for an Ivy Bridge CPU. The PS4 and Xbox One supposedly have AMD APUs with the CPU and GPU on one chip.
A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."

Yeah, I just found this at engadget. Looks like both Sony and Microsoft basically made the same system with different types of RAM to me. I'm supposing this "Jaguar" design means that it is an Ivy bridge with built in APUs and GPU. Still, these things had better cost no more than $299, they are hardly any kind of leap over current tech aside from the condensed chip designs. It would have been interesting if at lest one of the megacorps took a risk on cutting edge tech.

Ivy Bridge is part of Intel's 3rd generation i5 and i7 processors. They use a 22 nm architecture, while their second gen chip (Sandy Bridge) was 32 nm. The Bulldozer (8150) uses 32 nm architecture.

Sony and MS are using AMD's APU design for their upcoming consoles.

Ah, yeah, I thought Ivy bridge sounded like Intel. Sorry, doing a few things at once here. Sucks that the new processors preclude backward compatibility but I think that was expected with all of the DLC the current gen has been leading for.
