There is no catch. That has nothing to do with PSN. PlayStation Plus is so inexpensive for the service you receive, that it's more than worth it. And, it's applicable to PS4/PS3/PS Vita.

Sony has the advantage and the PS4 hasn't even been released yet. Every worthwhile news site I've visited is singing praises for the PS4. There is so little naysaying that it's not even a blip on the radar.

It's not related to the DRM stance though. Therefore it's not a catch to the DRM stance. PSN+ isn't required for PS4, only if you want to play multiplayer games. I already pay for Xbox Live gold, so paying for PSN+ won't be that big of a deal to me.

This is the same reason why SEGA fans are so bitter. SEGA had very unique contributions to consoles.

I would rather see Nintendo succeed instead of going out in a ball of flames. However, since I love them very much, I will give them tough love until they work out their problems with the Wii U.
