Not to derail TOO much, but you do realize how stupid this sounds right?

If someone visited a few of the big cities in Europe, found them lacking, then said "I've been to Europe, it sucks" I'd imagine you would take issue with that, correct?

Because that is exactly what you are saying here.

At any rate. To try and get this back on some form of topic. Sony has certainly put out some impressive sales numbers. Not only is that impressive due to the numbers themselves, but because they had the stock to actually supply such a demand.

I'm eagerly awaiting to see just how MS's sales look like. There are still some lingering rumors of supply chain issues for them... which, if true, could handily give Sony the entirety of the holiday sales season as a win no matter what demand is actually looking like.

You would have to visit a city a day to see most of the large cities in the US.

LA and NYC are the extremes, just like every city area with over 10 million people. You're going to see the best and worst a city has to offer with those kinds of conditions. The NFL won't even put a team back in LA. That should tell you something.
A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."

We've had this same discussion with bultje112 before just so you guys know. His overall mindset is that all Americans are morbidly obese gang members who run around shooting each other every day to protect their rundown low income houses. He'll admit that there is pretty nature in the US, but it's ruined by all the fat people.

Then I guess by "all the cities" he means the bad parts of LA, NYC, a bit of Vegas (but obviously not there to see any shows or have fun), and then saw some scenery out the window.

Because that kind of opinion is one I'd expect from someone doing nothing but watching something like COPS and Animal planet for their entire view on the United States.

Oh, and CNN for some headlines.

if you put roughly a line from ny to ly and take all major cities around it I visited most of them especially in centered area's like pittsburg/ny/washington area. and none of them were any good to visit. horrible architecture(washington I liked to some extent). no culture to be found unless it's culture to be incredibly fat and have a mcdonalds in every street corner. also I visited sightseeings or just hopped aorund the city and I would visit all kinds of area;s like in ny I went to brooklyn, bronx, queens. and I didn;t feel unsave like I never feel unsave anywhewre but I couldn't get any more depressed walking anywhere on this planet of all the places I visited. not to mention people are incredibly unfriendly. of course people were way more friendly in rural area's but I'm talking about american cities

if you've ever visited a city like florence or istanbul and then went to any city in the usa you'd throw up.

if you visited paris, amsterdam, london, rome, barcelona, berlin and told me europe sucked then yes you could say that. those are some major cities representign europe I would say. however I doubt you could find anything bad in any of those cities I named. not anywhere close to what you would find in american cities I went to. I find it funny how people feel offended here and I wonder what places all of you guys ever visited outside of usa.

I hardly think Paris is a good example of perfection, same goes for parts of London, Barcelona etc. I think its fair to say that quite a few major cities have their poorer parts, so why pick on cities in the US?

because cities in the usa have no great parts either. paris has incredible architecture and culture. you can spend days visiting all the great places in and around the centre and city like versailles. of course there are poor parts. they are in all major cities almost. but I have never found in any european citie places as bad as area;s I found in new york and note I didn't even mention detroit yet, which I wouldn't even dare call a city, more like a shithole

Amsterdam, London, etc. all have their bad areas just like any other city. Yes some of us here might not have visited every major city in Europe, but if we did the difference is we wouldn't assume going through the bad areas of the city meant the entire city was shitty, let alone the entire continent was shitty like you are assuming. Brooklyn, The Bronx, and Queens aren't really the best parts of New York City. LA and Vegas are well known for being pretty shitty too. Though right next to LA is San Diego which is a pretty nice city (or at least it was last I checked).

As for architecture, Europe's cities are much MUCH older than any city in the US. Of course they are going to have a lot more varied and classical architecture.

Paris is close to 2000 years old going by it's current form (though prehistory settlements date back as far as 5000 BC). New York City on the other hand is maybe 400-500 years old. Again, you're not going to have gaudy gothic architecture, roman architecture, castles, or anything like that. The city was founded after all those kinds of things passed. So it went from just a bunch of houses and small buildings straight to skyscrapers and industrial warehouses. I'd say the modern business district of Paris is a bit more in line to compare with a US city like New York or Chicago.

As for things like Versailles, the US never had a monarchy to waste money on overly extravagant palaces and monuments. So of course there's not going to be anything like Versailles.

^ So the elitist Sony fan who still_does_not_know what a developing country is chooses to lie and troll about American cities. How predictable.

Pfft. I'm 5'10" 160lbs, athletic, play sports, in college, don't own a gun, and live in beautiful Colorado.

@bultje112: You're insulting quite a few Americans at this point. I suggest you stop with the stereotypes.
