I just didn't see how anyone could find that funny. Hence the disclaimer.

    But I've realized...

It would of still been crappy in places ( some of the boss fights are awful -- the robot dog/hawk are terrible), but it would of been a might better game for it.

Also agree with you on the music - still give the soundtrack a listen every now and again, same great tunes in there.
Honestly, I'd be interested to see what could be done with it if Sega went back and did some extensive patching or just released a new directors cut rebuilding the game with the Hedgehog Engine and fixing a lot of the problems with the gameplay and story.

    EDIT:

Nevermind, fans are already on it:

It's not funny, it just stings.

Hence the could've been "Oh Snap!"

Maybe he'll jump onto Kickstarter after noticing the buckets of money Inafune walked away with.

Yea it seems no one can make a game today, unless they use Kickstarter.

I'm amazed they can even manage to buy their own food in their current conditions.

Well, making games and publishing games costs money. That money is usually provided by a publisher that will have their own demands and marketing concerns. Kickstarter or crowd funding in general is one way to do an end run around the publisher side of things which makes it great for independent developers who don't want to be beholden to a publisher but still want a decent-sized budget to work with.

It's not a perfect system but neither is the publisher system. It's just another option and an especially attractive one for a big-name developer who will likely draw instant attention from investors.

I'd much rather Sega just take the time and patch up the original game to be honest than some Generations mod tbh. But that's not gonna happen (e.g. Sega doing shit-all to fix the bugs in Sonic Adventure when they released Sonic DX).

Anyone who hates on Sonic's friends is eating a dead, almost fossilized horse. They've been gone for years and have ben focused on less and less. Some have been retired.

    That'd be "almost mummified" . . . "almost fossilized" . . . I guess that's more like eating really hard dirt.

They popped up in the last Sonic game worth actually giving a shit about though...

They weren't playable though. They were just there as part of the story, which makes sense considering that Generations was an anniversary title.

They did include a level though where Rogue flashes her tits at robots.

I mean I like Generations and all but what the fuck?
