I looked real hard and it appears to be a complete Pirate/Reproduction cart.
Earthbound was a Japan/Usa release only.

    Speaking of the Nintendo e-shop,

    New 3D Classics incoming

SEGA has announced that eight classic SEGA titles have been enhanced with 3D and will be released as individual titles within the SEGA 3D Classics Series through the Nintendo 3DS eShop in North America and Europe.
In a blog post, the following games were confirmed for the SEGA 3D Classics Series:

    3D Altered Beast
    3D Ecco the Dolphin
    3D Galaxy Force II
    3D Shinobi III
    3D Sonic The Hedgehog
    3D Space Harrier
    3D Streets of Rage
    3D Super Hang-On

No release date has been announced other than 'soon' and SEGA makes it sound like they will be released individually, rather than all at once. No prices were stated in the announcement.

No, it's unbiased analysis. The only fanboyism is people who claim that Hyperstone Heist and Bloodlines are actually as good as their SNES counterparts.

welp, looks like I'm getting a 3DS. I'm going to get the fat one. I like the big screen (wish it was even bigger actually).

WOW! I'm really pumped for some of those Sega 3D classics. Space Harrier is my all time favorite game. And yea, zetastrike, I really hope they're the arcade versions!

I do believe earthbound is overpriced at $10. There hasn't been any game on the VC so far that has broken the pricing standard. I appreciate the guide and all, but Nintendo knows people want the game and are just gouging.
Sadly, I will buy it. Not because I really want to play the game, but I want to show support for them giving the community what it asked for.

$10? I can get a game with 100x the production budget for a third of that via Steam or several other digital marketplaces.

Haters gonna fucking hate. As soon as I get a prepaid card (like hell I'm using a credit card), I'm downloading EarthBound off the VC. I recently beat this game, finally, and absolutely loved it. It was just so quirky, strange and enthralling. By far the strangest Nintendo game ever to see a US release.

It'd be kind of cool to see ports of the Sega Master System 3D games. Blade Eagle 3D, Zaxxon 3D, Maze Hunter 3D, ect...

I don't know like, 2013? Only 2 years after there was a massive breach on PSN with a bunch of stolen information?

Now any company worth a damn should be encrypting CC numbers, but that doesn't mean they do. I'm the same way as Guntz and I'd rather use prepaid cards to buy digital goods like this.

Your credit card information floats around unencrypted all the time, usually over wifi transfers within the big box stores you shop in. Your sensitive personal information is stored unencrypted on unsecure machines like faxes and printers which get recycled and thrown out all the time.

Chances are you are already profiled and on the market for identity theft.

If there's a breach, you roll your card numbers and hate the company that fucked up. To not use your own plastic for the sake of gift cards only serves to keep you away from Good/Bad credit, in the area of No credit, and that means you're less likely to be able to get a loan or low interest credit line so you can get ahead in life.

The whole system is already fucked and wide open, so you're better off being diligent with the monitoring of your transactions while also buying some type of fraud insurance service from your bank if truly paranoid.

Close, and you're very right about due diligence for ones own credit score, but I fail to see how reducing the number of points where my CC touches a system is a big deal. There are a lot of ways to steal personal information out there, it's really quite trivial in many cases as you've mentioned. If you've ever bought a "used" computer from someone chances are you already have enough information on there to steal their identity, but the point is why I don't use CCs on Live/PSN/Wii.

    1) Foremost, I don't trust them with my data. It's not about if I trust Best Buy or the super market with it, it's that I don't trust these networks.
    2) Not purchasing games from a console using my CC is not going to ding my credit score in any way. That is outright FUD, because I use it for plenty of other things and continue to pay it off every month.
    3) I don't like doing transactions on their systems which have (in my opinion) less or obfuscated confirmation prompts.
    4) Finally, if your account is hacked, you are still on the hook for those purchases unless you clear it up through the network. If you institute a charge-back through your CC on Live instead of contacting them first, they will lock your account and good luck getting it back. And even if you have contacted them first, there's no guarantee you'll get refunded back to your card, or refunded at all.

Just my 2c on the matter, but everyone is free to make their own decisions.
