Thanks for watching Chilly. Yeah I chose the LCD because it had speakers and was 12v. You don't have to use the lcd, you can turn it off and it folds back and you can just plug the beast in your tv as well. If you have the typical 2 plug wall outlet, the good news is your tv could take up 1 and this beast will just take the other.
