SEGA gets rid of all characters in Sonic games except Sonic and Eggman, and the occasional one-shot character or two. The catch? These one-shot charcters are even worse than Sonic's existing friends, and are playable.

Wow. For a Sega forum, you guys are pretty hostile towards Sonic. I think that wouldn't be fun because Sonic's friends are, like it or not, reliable. Rotating characters would weaken the Sonic universe IMO. I never really had a problem with Sonic's friends.

The new Sonic games are still fun, but it's getting embarrassing buying video games these days, at least in person.

Well... it's a Sega forum with a focus on the 16-bit era, though I'm not saying that many of us don't have love for other Sega products beyond the Genesis/Mega Drive.

Still, looking at it from this perspective the Sonic Hate should come at no surprise.

I enjoyed Colors and Generations personally they just weren't spectacular.
