For the pins that sit in the megadrive i rubbed them abit with a rubber band like you were saying?it didnt really seem to do much

Its def improved and will some times stay working for much longer now but still freezes up,and if you reposition it it may be freezing ever 1-2 mins into gameplay ,the Gen games freeze alot also

I hoping a good clean with proper things will fix it

Hard wiring it must have been a mission!
.....I don't think you're thinking of the same thing.

    Hi, im jriquelme
Im console modder and harcore gamer collector from Paraguay (can check fb.me/jriquelmemods and fb.me/MandiocaGamer.py )

Sorry if my english is poor-

I recently got a Sega CD Model 2.

My problem is: If i use my Sega CD and Play by hours, it will be FIne... BUT, if i leave my console, for exaplme playing Snatcher, more than 15min of innactivity, my Sega CD will HANG and Freeze. And if i Power Off and On again, mu Sega CD will not Read my disc Again.

Or if i playing for about 2hs. Turn off my Sega CD, and come back again to play after few minutes, it will NOT READ MY DISC again.

To read again, i need to disconnect all for about 1 or 2 hours. And then, i can play, but will happen all what i say again.

    What can be the problem?

I can hear "click" of the Lens, but the CD will not Spin.

Hope some one can hlp me.

And, where i can Buy the CD Lens if it is the problem. Can i use some lens from a Saturn=?

    Thanks.

    Sega CD Model: MK-4102A

I have a couple of questions about the Mega Drive's Master System compatibility:

    1. Do TecToy Master System games work on the Mega Drive? I read somewhere that some don't, but don't know which ones. I know F-16 Fighter and a few other also don't work.

    2. Does the Master System Pro Action Replay work on the Mega Drive (for Master System games of course )?

    Thanks

Hi. I have a Sega Game Gear that has a screen problem (very dark) and I understand that the most common cause of this is bad capacitors. I have the single ASCI chip version, and was just wondering what sort of capacitors I would need in order to replace the bad ones. I was following a tutorial on Youtube by kainkusanagi but he recommended I come here since he only has experience with the 2-chip version. I only counted 8 that resembled the ones he mentioned in his video. I think I've found adequate replacements for them on Mouser and took a screenshot of my cart. Is there anything else I might be missing/do you have any other tips?

I can also provide actual pictures of the Game Gear's innards if that will help as well.

dont have camera lol, i dont think that was the problem at all tho or the white ribbons it seemed to be the connection between 32x and Megadrive i cleaned them bit now and it seems to work good no freezes for ages, just received my mega cd II today

Region free bios with everdrive is great! It doesnt seem to let me play Sega CD 32x games tho even with 60hz megadrive+gen32x+region free bios? no big loss there tho

Also do the sound outputs on megacd out for megadrive/32x games

    Thanks

I know this may seem like a strange question, but how do I get Japanese Mega CDs to load game discs? It keeps going to the CD player instead of loading the game.

    Thanks

You probably needed to use a newer bios that goes straight into the game. The first japanese bios you need to manually do it.

It gave no indication I needed to press a button in the CD player to actually load the game. The startup screen told me to press the Start Button, so that's what I did. The CD-ROM button in the CD player also gave no indication it loads the game either. No wonder I was confused.

Why can't it load automatically like the European and American BIOSes (my Mega CD has a MultiBIOS chip, so it has all three)?.

It's a very early bios before they implemented auto-loading.

Is anyone able to offer any insight into my problem? I'm checking back here daily for responses. xP I'd like to get this fixed as soon as I can.
