Heck, even James Pond has a Kickstarter, so it's very likely we'll see White Bomber once more.
Yeah it's almost certinly dead.
That also means we'll never get to see Hi-Ten Bomberman ported to any platform. Not that we'd see it if Hudson ere alive anyway...
The first game made for Japan's defunt HD standard, Hi-Vision in 16:9, 1035i.

James Pond wasn't owned my Konami. It'd be a helluva lot harder to license a property from a large company like Konami.
Plus, I don't want Bomberman to be licensed to someone who'll start a Kickstarter (which is overused now) to fund a half-assed digital only game for him. That'd be worse than him being dead as far as I'm concerned.
Since Hudson is gone I would say yes that Bomberman is dead. There is no way that any kind of reboot would have the same feel to it without Hudson. I think a Bomberman ultimate compilation including all console versions and Atomic Bomberman would be awesome though. So long as they test out controller/screen lag to keep the games playable I don't see how they could screw that up.
