Does it have Columns 3 for the Genesis on it? I hear that's perhaps the finest game ever made.

Its got Columns, Columns 2, Battle Columns (I think) and Columns '97.

There are unlockable sounds and jewels for the various games that are unlocked after you get rid of so many jewels (the game keeps a running total).

My favorite was in "Columns 2" (I think) where the normal jewel disappearing was replaced by the sound of a gun firing. Not really useful, but it is a funny sound in game.

I do have Columns Arcade Collection... it is pretty damn good.
The smell of scorched oil hangs in the air as a premonition of danger, while the engine gloriously shouts its war cry...

Throughout history, suspicion has always bred conflict. The real conflict, though, resides in people's hearts. This conflict has just begun.

Joe, if you watch where the enemy jets come out onto the screen, you will surely see that they always come out at the same locations in the same numbers every time (depending on the stage number). So there are patterns to the game, and if you anticipate where the next enemies will appear, you will shoot them down before they shoot back (if they fire missles).

Here is a pic of my own Sega Ages collection:

Cost more, but it was worth it to me.
it could do more colours in screen but its pallet was almost identical
both 512 only tg 16 maybe had a more powerfull graphic processor.

many people say this 480 colours in screen thing about the tg 16 but can someone show those 480 colours in screen in a actual game then,i really never seen them.altough strikers 1942 was almost a duplicate of its arcade which was very colourfull.

    nice collection saturn freaking rules.

the last few days i played lords of thunder and dracula x for pc engine i was far from impressed graphic wise,i know that that was stuff i already have seen on a megadrive.offcourse i can believe that a pc engine can be good graphic wise but i find the 480 colours in screen story as strong as eternal champions cd its 256 colours in screen story,i bet it can do it,in pictures yeah.proove it ive never seen a pc engine surpass a snes in any way.

ary I have seen plenty of PC Engine games put more than 64 colors on the screen at once. Eternal Champions (either cart or CD) does not put very many colors onscreen at all, both well under 64. Technically the PCE can be made to put all 512 colors onscreen, but the OFFICIAL specs have it at around 484 or something like that.

show me then,i do believe it can go surpassed the 64 i think sapphire does it and some videos and that shadoqgate game or something which looked very good on the system,i really never seen the 480 colours in screen by screenshots, show me if you can.Eternal champions pretty much sucks in my opinion i hate the grainy look.lords of thunder and dracula x didnt look impressive to me far way from that since i know the specs both games didnt even come close to snes its dracula x for instance.altought i have lots of respect for lords of thunder terrific game.

I don't think the SNES could handle Strider without some sort of chip in the cart to hold its hand.

Also, I don't know of any PCE games to actually put 480 colors on the screen at once, but the hardware can do it. There are homebrew demos out there that put 512 colors onscreen at once.

Why are we talking about this here? We should be talking about it in the SNES vs GENESIS vs TurboGrafx-16 thread.

Because they subject leaned a bit to this it was about tg 16 its space harrier about the amount of colours and transparencies in screen which it cant do and then I leaned to the 480 colours in screen.BTW I don’t mean a snes i mean a Super graphix its actually SGP or something that system could put all colours in screen to the test you could notice the high counts in striker 1942 or something that’s was promising only the system got like 8 games total for it released.

The only thing i want to say is that the pc engine doesn’t really surpasses the md as far as I’ve seen the mega drive show lots of more sfx but I don’t really care cause I play what I like and not always for its graphics. okay lets get back on it then.

Double tapping the spacebar at the end of each sentence would be a welcome beginning to a life of improved grammar.

Or at least tapping it once. I habitually double-tap, but the forum software only recognizes one space and that's how it's displayed. capital letters are also welcome.
