Default Alien Soldier and Daze Before Christmas

I just picked up Alien Soldier (PAL) for $38.56 (but no manual). Is this still a bargain? Or was I a sucker to get it without the manual, and a PAL version.

Also just got Daze Before Christmas for $106.49. Think this was an ok deal as most of them have been going for around $130-150.

That's an OK prize for Alien Soldier, but why do you care about that when you've paid much more for a crappy game like Daze Before Christmas? That's just crazy.

I wouldn´t pay that much just because a game is rare. The highest bid because of rarity was 75,-€ for Duke Nukem 3D mint. But for Daze before Christmas I wouldn´t pay more than 30,-€.

Well supposedly from some of the members on this forum this game was only released in Australia and the even $150 AUS is a ok price. BTW all those prices I listed above are in $AUS.

Anyone got a link to a site that states that this game was only release in OZ?

It was only released in Australia. But that doesnīt change the fact that there are many better games which are rare too. Itīs just an astronomic price tag for a game so mediocre.
I wouldnīt call Alien Soldier rubbish, it can be fun. But itīs not one of the Mega Driveīs greatest at all. However it is well worth the price you paid. Because of itīs rarity the PAL-version usually sells for 70,- or even 90,-€ around here. I bought it cartridge only in a pack of loose games for just a few bucks. It seems nobody noticed AS was among them.

Well, I dont think thats gonna happen any more. For the last 6 months on ebay (since I've been looking) , DBC has been going for well over $100 AUS.

Wasn't a big fan of Alien Soldier. Just got it cos of price.

Got an email from Ebay warning me that they had suspended the seller who had sold me DBC, and to take caution in paying him.....but tooo late! I already paid. So I've had to lodge a paypal claim (thank god for paypal, they have reimbursed me in the past). I was stupid to buy from someone with 0 feedback.

Got Alien Soldier though....in perfect condition.

Also just picked up a Sega SC-3000 of Ebay for $150AUS (inc postage). In box with everything. Thought that was a good buy.

Is Alien Soldier rare, or is it really just in high demand?!

I mean, there's always atleast ONE copy on eBay. I think there's a few right now on eBay, and I'm sure there's quite a few floating around second-hand shops just waiting to be found and purchased.

Alien Solider PAL version is 20% slower. I have the JPN version, which runs at full speed.

It's a popular game, is all. ToeJam & Earl is going for about £10 on eBay right now, and that's not too hard to find either. The 4-in-1 Classics Collection (Flicky, Altered Beast, Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle and Gunstar Heroes) is also far more easy to get a hold of than Gunstar Heroes alone.

Alien Soldier slow? I could have sworn it was PAL-optimised.
