Yeah, it is PAL-optimised. And that actually sucks, because it abuses the Blast Processing when switching over to 60 Hz. The difference between 50 and 60 Hz is 16.7%, not 20%.

Alien Soldier slow? I could have sworn it was PAL-optimised.
TJ&E is cheaper over in your neck of the woods? Either way, I got Gunstar Heroes loose at a Salvation Army for $2.99 in mint condition.

Alien Solider is OK, but shit the whole obession with Treasure pisses me off. Some of the games are good, and some are OK, but nothing was amazing. I never played Strech Panic, which everyone says sucks. It pisses me off, because I can't get a rather common game for a decent price.

I think Alien Soldier really is rare. I guess it was pretty much of a flop back in the days, nobody bought it. I have a review of it on half a page only rating it D in school grades. No wonder nobody bought it.

    Maybe B- for me...
Before half a year ago, when I joined Sega-16, I never even thought of trying such a crappy game. Then I learned about the hype around it, tried it and must say itīs descent, but not a must-have.

...you can tell the 3.3% speed difference? I don't follow you.

PAL Alien Soldier had an additional option feature which allowed you to change the speed of the game while pausing. It might be set to be a bit slower by default.

No, I just know that 50 divided with 60 is about 0.83. 1 minus that is about 0.167. Which means PAL games commonly are 16.7% slower, not 20%. I just wanted to correct.

Only Sonic 1, IIRC. The others were PAL-optimised. But PAL-optimised games aren't perfect either - you still have those terrolist bars up and down on the screen. 60 Hz FTW!

Zebbe, why do you call it terrorlist, and not terrorist?!

I always imagined the word "terrolist" was Engrish. What game is it from?
