    Nintendo won't go out, their collective IPs are worth way too much for the company to go under entirely. They'd switch to just software first.

    The article makes it sound like they're in serious financial straits with too much competition and no way out, and that they'll go straight bankrupt.

    At the very least they'll continue to make portables, because no one can top them in the market. Apple handheld games suck in comparison, cheaply made 5-minute time-wasters.
