Yep; the bigwigs at Amiga thought this was some kind of masterstroke against the competition.

The Amiga platform had so few exclusives. Plenty of its games were available on 16-bit consoles and MS-DOS. That's not to diss on it; the OS provided more functionality and programmability, and contributed in founding the "scene", and it continues to live on via niche distros.
Not only did the advertising not work but may have given Sega a helping hand with the name Sega Ages for the re-releases and compilations.
