Maybe Andrew House just screwed up with the press, I see other Sony Exes that are saying, "no we're just releasing it in Japan first, to see how things go".
Only two days after pre-orders became available, it sold out. I really think Sony is just messing with us, to prevent Vita sales from staling.

Sony may look retarded, act retarded, have braces on their legs... but they'll never go full retard. Just look at Nintendo. Weak CPU, no full HD, no first party support? They went full retard. Went home with nothin'.
My guess is either they don't have enough supply of the Vita TV for a worldwide release, or they don't want it to interfere with the PS4 during the Christmas shopping season. Don't forget that the Japanese market doesn't get PS4 until early next year.
