Can People Have Nostalgia For Early 3D Games?

I'm going to be honest here. Based on the title, "Can people have nostalgia for early 3D games?", the answer is yes.

Nostalgia at it's roots, is because something may trigger an earlier memory that is pleasant. For me, Virtua Racing, Quake, these are all 3D games that remind me of a childhood where nothing was wrong, everything was right. So yes, I have nostalgia for it because it reminds me of those things.

More specifically for me, nothing seemed wrong in the game industry. These game represent the constant march of progress in gameplay from the time and remind me of how bright I saw the future of the game industry. Oh wow how that hope has died.

Hell yeah! i grew up playing games like Tomb Raider, Soul Reaver, Medievil and RE2 i feel a lot of nostalgia towards them.

There are people who have nostalgia for Stalin. I don't see why not 3d games. (not equating video games to Stalin)

I enjoy the look of smooth polygons like Virtua Racing or whatnot. But I can't tell you how much worse the same game would look with Playstation-like blocky, warped and grainy textures on it.

YES! Solid color polygons are great! Love those! Miss those! Like Virtua Racing & Star Fox!

Interstate 76 had textures, but I loved how sharp everything in that game looked.
