Drakon is not only bad things, he can be a good bloke when he wants to.
My personal experience with him is rather positive.

Let me tell you a story that happened a year ago.
I had bought a RGB ppu on ebay and it came up defective. My RGB mod was very well done ( did it myself with the f-labo kit) but the PPU was glitching.
The seller however was refusing to refund me saying that my mod was to blame and the PPU was tested ( only I knew by asking him the right questions that he did not test it properly.)
I had learned about Drakon from his RGB NES video so I contacted him. I asked him if he could fool proof the PPU by testing it in one of his systems.
He was very polite and said he would do it for free. He did not even want any money to do it, just that I pay shipping.

I sent him the PPU and he made a video where he double test the PPU in a working RGB NES and proves that the glitch is caused by the PPU.


With this video the seller finally acknowledge his PPU was bad and refunded me.
Now Drakon did not ask money to do it. But In the end I sent him like 25$ from my own because felt I owed it to him.

My conclusion is that the Internet is full of Real scammers and liars but I do not think Drakon is one of them. I do not think he consciously wants to rip people off, nor do I believe that he does it most of the time. He is just maybe in his own "drakonish" bubble where he thinks what he does is perfectly fine. He should definitely work on his attitude and the way he deals with others but I would not put him in the same basket with the real scammers. I hope he improves the way he deals with others so this situation can stop.

As to the quality of his work, when you sell your services to others, your quality standards should be very high, there is no excuses for work that just fails and/or damaged material. There is also no excuse for not properly testing stuff like only testing a RGB nes on S-video.
So I hope he learns from this and do better in the future and work on his overly proud unapologetic attitude.

It's been a while since I've been back on these boards, but Drakon used to message me all the time showing off his home-brew stuff. I had no idea he was doing the same and/or being a douche to people.

I've never had an issue with him, and every time I've talked with him he's been polite and seemed to take pride in the work he did.

But the flip side is I don't buy mods, I do my own if at all possible, so I've never been in a position to buy anything off him.

In regards to prices, anyone can charge anything they want, so long as someone pays, it's "valid".

That said, the melted nes case was something I would not have accepted, I would have demanded a replacement or a full refund including shipping. It's not like it broke during shipping or something and was really neither parties fault, that was entirely an error on his end, and should have been up to him to completely fix.

We all had our issues before, though I see kind of weird to bring back negative history of someone that's over 7 years old, like shit man. Let go of something from the past that's this old and worry of about the presence. I have not seen anything wrong from evildragon since I joined till you brought out that old thread of his.

I remember during the time I joined, I would submit countless threads of things I wanted to know and learn. People would get pissy at me and would get called names like Turbochicken, hehe.

I advise anyone here to avoid doing business with evildragon. He is a scammer and has an undisputed record of scamming, apologizing then scamming again. I have been a member here 7 years now, so take this as you will. There is no malice here, just the age-old business tactic of feedback.

That one may be debatable. :P Even I can admit to have possibly gotten upset over some of my mods when criticized, like the discrete YM3438.
