Mega Drive I - no Left audio channel

Problem resolved - I once again checked the line out audio mod I did - it turned out the while the tap points on the board were fine, there was something wrong with either the 3.5mm line out stereo jack I added or its wiring. After I disconnected the jack, I once again got crystal clear stereo audio via the standard headphone connector. Will need to get a different audio jack and take extra care with regard to the wiring.

3.5mm sockets can be a right pain to solder. Proper tiny and easy to make mistakes. Glad you've got it sorted.

Glad its working 100% again since the audio quality of this particular model is really good compared to some of the other ones I heard, plus I spent some time modding it. That said, I noticed that quite a few games seem to be mono anyway and not having the Left channel didn't really seem to make much difference.
The other upside of this is that in the meantime I picked up online another Mega Drive - also a High Definition Graphics Stereo Sound model on the cheap. Haven't recieved it yet so don't know about board revision ver - hopefully it will also not have TMSS.
